Well, 4 yrs, come and gone,

This weekend has marked another milestone, she has graduated,

This is to all I have met in real life from here and talked to on the boards, thank you, this has been a great ride and everyone here helped.

I suspect I will will still lurk abit, however the same meaning will not be attached to it.

To all that are still in this journey enjoy, it ends all too fast,

Congratulations to you and your daughter. My time is coming all too soon. Don't be a stranger, just because your daughter isn't playing doesn't mean you can't come and visit

I can totally relate to this. You just watch from a different angle. Congratulations on your daughters accomplishments and keep posting.

Congratulations! I share your sentiments, as our daughter will graduate in a few weeks.

It is unlikely we will ever again see our daughter play another meaningful game. All those years going to hockey games (and other sports as well) are now behind us. What will we do with all the free time?

You should continue to post. Some of the best information I got here was from people who had clearly been through it before.

I really enjoted meeting you, and looked forward to the times when our teams faced each other. Let me know when you are down to vist your D (assuming her plans haven't changed for next year) so we can catch a meal and maybe a game:)

i graduated from college several years ago and i can assure you you're never "just a mom" for your daughter (or any of your children) and your time is never done and thank goodness for that...we always need our moms no matter how old we get or how smart we think we are...you are just entering a new stage in your relationship that will be equally exciting and much more real than ever before...i was busy on the weekend but happy mother's day to you and to all our mothers and thanks for all the love and support our mothers give us throughout our lives...:)

Too bad you can't use the "they throw a freaking fish at my daughter" line to whiny parents anymore. :p
