Some questions on your predictions sidebar:

The weekend dates: January 16th and 17th???

As far as I know, BC will be playing at UML on the 14th, not the 12th. I checked the schedule at both BC and UML as well as the Hockey East websites, and they all say they are playing on the 14th. Do you know something we (or they) don't know?

Perhaps your climate change point was tougue-in-cheek, but I thought I'd respond anyway:

Climate is defined as weather averaged over 30+ years. Climate is what you expect; weather is what you get. The expectation of the vast majority of climate scientists is that the weather, on average, is going to be hotter in the future. There will be bumps up and down along the way, as we are seeing.

two weeks of bean pot columns instead of hockey east columns... yippee.... maybe, just maybe, the bean pot could get its own coverage and hckey east can be discussed? can't wait for the exciting conclusion of the series next week when the hockey east column is the beanpot final re-hash...

I agree...too much beanpot the past two weeks at the expense of the other teams in the conference, imo.

And that has nothing to do with the fact that my Eagles got whacked in the first round! ;)
