All of this cold weather has got me looking forward to the summer and of course off-season camps and tournaments.
To that end I thought I'd post some popular Camps/Tournaments with their Locations and Dates. Anyone else with info, please add, so everyone can start thinking about those times when you can go to the rink without a jacket.
I'm trying to keep this in date order, so if you add one please cut/paste and insert where appropriate... And if you know how to dress it up, please do so...

I don't have the dates, but Providence, UNH and BU all run excellent camps.

With regards to Prospects....save your money!! We were there last year and it was horrible!! The only good thing was the comraderie the girl's had!! There is a new event being held this summer....ironically...same date as prospects...out of Hamilton...same rink Stoney uses for their tournaments...we are going to this one as recommended by two ECAC coaches we have spoken to. It looks pretty organized and they are offering lots more for the money!!

With regards to Prospects....save your money!! We were there last year and it was horrible!! The only good thing was the comraderie the girl's had!! There is a new event being held this summer....ironically...same date as prospects...out of Hamilton...same rink Stoney uses for their tournaments...we are going to this one as recommended by two ECAC coaches we have spoken to. It looks pretty organized and they are offering lots more for the money!!

I will send what I have. We received the letter from our coach and it looked pretty decent. We followed that up with a call to a few coaches to see what they had to say. They liked what they saw and more importantly, this group is involved in girl's hockey only!!
You will see when I send you the info......lots for the girl's which is great to see...finally!!!

My daughter went last year and really liked it. There was a great representation of east coast colleges and even some WCHA colleges. They kept the practice to game ratios at 2 practices for each game. She received some excellent feedback on what it will take to play collegiate hockey. She will probably go again this summer. The head coach from the Washington Pride runs the camp and does an excellent job.

Anyone else have an opinion on Prospects? I know someone who went last year and they thought it was pretty good. Opnions will vary, but if there seems to be consensus one way or another, that may help.

As you noted, there are varying opinions on most of the "showcase" type events, and not everyone is going to be happy. However, judging from the number of posts that I have seen over the past few years, Prospects tends to draw responses (and a lot of them at that) like brokentwigg's, which is pretty good indicator of what you would be getting into, and out of it.

Great. So after missing nearly a week of school for Nationals (hopefully), we're supposed to take them out again for another 3 days! That's what made Prospects more appealing this year, no school conflicts.
