Its funny that Superior sweeps St Thomas, but gets dropped below them because UST beat Amherst. Wouldn't the UWS beat UST who beat Amherst logic apply. :)

Seems logical to me, that's why I ranked Superior ahead of St. Thomas...

It's so hard at this point to keep track of just who has beat whom. There's Superior, who swept St. Thomas but had some tough losses early, and St. Thomas beat Amherst, who also lost to Gustavus (who, in turn, had lost to Adrian). But, Amherst did beat Middlebury, who beat Elmira and tied Plattsburgh. Plattsburgh, though, lost to Utica, who lost to...etc

My head is going to explode if I keep trying to keep it straight. At this point, I don't know where to rank anyone. I keep trying to figure it out, but as soon as I think I've finally got it, there's an equally reasonable complete reversal of my rankings. At the end of the day, I just have to make a reasonable solution and stick to it. That's probably what the rankers did too.

Do not let your head explode. The beauty of the ranking that is not scientific and that there are no right or wrong answers, it is all opinion. Since no one is undefeated, and everyone has at least one loss it is impossible to make a scientific case as to who is #1.

The competition has gotten very strong at the top of D-III it wil come down to who plays the most consistent hockey, with injuries playing a factor. It is up for grabs and there are clearly 6 teams or so who could easily make the case to be #1.

It will be fun to watch the next couple of months, as this will work itself out and the cream will rise to the top!!

Quite frankly, polls are for schmucks. The only poll I'm interested in is the one after the NCAA tournament in March.

I don't think they post polls after the NCAA tourney.

Perfect...then we'll know who the top four are after the finals. That's all that counts.

Quite a turnabout for someone that was ranting and raving about Plattsburgh not being ranked #1 awhile back.;)

Now that they are #1 again...polls are for schmucks? haha

Interesting.

Atleast you're catching on though.

Aw that was before Christmas ...too much stress of the holiday season, etc. Now I'm back to my mellow self again.

Can't wait to see what happens at the "Shadow Dome" this weekend. Gotmy HazMat suit allready to go!

Nothing like a great weekend in Horseheads, NY!!?? (I'll sure to be checking my bed before turning out the lights in a place with that kind of name!!)

HazMat suit? You've got to be kidding. After we endured a fire in our hotel and a fight in the stands at the NCAAs last year? I'll take the games in Pine Valley over Plattsburgh any day.

Hey Seymore do you know if Coach Houle got the helmet lights he ordered so the girls can actually see on the ice. Oh wait never mind the Day-Glo Yellow jerseys of EC will be good enough. And don't sit up too high in the bleachers you might come down with the black lung.

Up high is the best view in the rink. You get a good look at all those banners that block the lighting a little bit:D

Great sightlines! I guess I've got a case of the black lung since I've been sitting in row L all these years way at the top:rolleyes: ;)

Good news, Plattsburgh's hotel is still standing and they promised no 2 or 3 am fire alarms this weekend.

Looking forward to some great hockey this weekend.

Pretty interesting. Plattsburgh has way more banners than EC has and yet no shadows on the ice. The only thing EC has going for it is Elbow Wings and a Masters. Still don't understand why they don't tear down the domes and just play at the First Arena. Give the Haz-Mat guys some work since unemployment is at 7.2%.

Looking around Stafford arena, I didn't see the NCAA championship banners from the last two years. You'd think they would be up in the refurbished building to inspire the Cardinal women. Does anyone know what happened to them?

On the benches side of the ice parallel to the center line.
