Quick question --- anyone else having problems getting final clearance from the NCAA Clearinghouse? Is it normal to be waiting this long for them to certify the final high school transcript. School starts in a week --- wonder if they realize that? And good luck getting a human being on the phone.

This takes time, it is not a 1-2 day process

There definitely are precedents for student athletes having to sit out a year or more while waiting to get clearance. Good luck

One thing that sort of tripped us up last year is that although we got our grades in early, (and had gone through the initial questionairre), we found out we were not cleared a couple of weeks prior to school starting because of the amateur status.

To me it, was pretty confusing because I thought we had done it when we first registered, but maybe it was just partly done, because we had to go in and re-submit. Once we did that, we were completely cleared.

I had a similar problem, waiting for final clearance for a while. Try going to "Enter/Update Amateurism Questionnaire" and make sure you've completed the Final Authorization Signature (similar to what was said in the previous post).
