D-1 Summer League

Because of the number of D-1 players who call the Twin Cities home during the summer a league just for D-1 players has been established by Showcase Hockey separate from the other summer college league they have been hosting. The games are played at Braemar arena. Players who are interested should check out www.showcasehockey.com

My daughter played in it last year and really loved it! She loved the competition and the opportunity to keep her skating legs.

Speaking of summer leagues, those players (and fans) in the Boston area looking for high tempo, fun skates should check out the NEWHL college sessions on Thursday nights at Ristuccia Arena in Wilmington. There are four teams in the "league" populated by area D1 and DIII players and the action is fast and furious. There are also Small Area Games and overspeed skating sessions on Tuesday nights for the college players.
