With only four graduating seniors, my guess would be a strong showing in 08-09. What impact will the departure of Seely have on this program? Incoming recruits? Biggest challenge? Team leaders?

It will be interesting to see how the new coach(es) work out the new recruits. One of the incoming forwards (Boudreau I believe) has already made comments about the possibility of having to switch to defense...but that was all according to Seeley. Now that he is gone, I am curious to see if the Desrosiers continue the trend of recruiting players and switching them from their natural positions.

Rick Seeley did whatever was best for his team. If that meant that a forward was moved back on D or vice -versa that is what happened. I believe that Matt and Shannon Desrosiers will also do what is best for the team. Good players will adjust.

I agree. And as much as I have complained about it, the defense has been pretty stingy despite girls being new(er) to the position.

The 3 forwards from Ontario were in the top 100 of the PWHL scoring race.
37th,40th, and 69th. Mine played against them and they were ok, but didnt seem to be offensive threats. In six games against our team they managed a single point (no goals)as a group. cant remember how they were defensively.

Nothing against the players in question, but to put things in perspective there are roughly 15x17=255 skaters in the PWHL. Top 100 means top 40% of the league, good players, but not top end in terms of scoring impact. Having said that all teams need good support players, not just scoring threats, so I'm sure they were picked for a variety of reasons.
