Saturday evening, after the game, I was struggling to read it thanks to a weak wireless internet connection at my hotel. I got home yesterday intent on catching up with the boards, but that thread appears to have been completely deleted. Why?

The poster who started the thread deleted it. All posts in the thread disappear when this happens.
Often times when this happens, I'll restore some of the thread because the original poster has deleted some good content. But I reviewed the thread, and frankly, there's nothing in there worth keeping, so I respected the wishes of the original poster. If anyone who posted in that thread disagrees, let me know and I'll restore your lost post here.
If you want something to do instead in getting in-game reaction, I'd suggest listening to the archived Game of the Week broadcasts instead.
This is the second time in three years that we've lost a national championship game thread to deletion. I didn't read the thread so I can't speak to its content. But I would suggest that for anyone who starts a game thread for any NCAA game, whether that thread remains or not is really not your call, whether or not the software allows you to delete it. If your intent is just to have a thread around during the game that will later disappear, then use the "Score Updates" forum -- that is why it is there.

O.K., no big deal, I was just curious. Half the reason I was wondering is because I've never known these boards to be micromanaged and censored for content as with many of the other boards out there.

I just think it's fun to read them . . . start to finish - especially for comments that occur by those not at the game . . . in case anyone missed it UMD won 4-0!!!! :D ;)
