Anyone who did not happen to see the Sioux/Gophers game and then reading Lucia's comments posted above would think that R.J. Anderson was cross-checked for no good reason by Darcy Zajac. Go to youtube and judge for yourself whether Zajac's cross check was warranted in response to Anderson's leg check on Oshie. Lucia seems to have a pattern of "selective vision/memory" when it comes to commenting on dirty play.

As a pre-emptive note, my crazy brain apparently thought that one of the Minnesota State/Denver games ended in a tie and mentioned that twice in the sidebar when I started writing it early this week.

I will, however, see if I can get that edited.

All i gotta say, is i think St. cloud is hungry for a win, and cc is gonna split at best this weekend, simply on the fact, that they are undefeated at home they are gonna be unprepared for the weekend thinking they are invincible especially cuz st. cloud has been slacking this season, I just gotta feeling lasch is gonna come out firing friday night and light up the score board, hopefully fridays loss will be enough to turn cc around for the win and split sat though. Just my gut reaction, oh and miami gets swept....well probably not but im rooting for michigan.

Hello Jeeps306,

You've made some pretty outrageous claims on the basis of "gut feelings" without providing any substantial evidence for your opinions. In my response, which follows, grammatical corrections are enclosed in parenthetical citations. As for content, I would like to directly challenge your assertion that:

"cc (CC) is gonna (going to) split at best this weekend, simply (based upon) on the fact, that they are undefeated at home they are gonna (going to) be unprepared for the weekend thinking they are invincible(.) (This seems true) especially (because) cuz (St. Cloud) st. cloud has been slacking this season..."

First, there is no chance that CC will take this series too lightly. After all, St. Cloud IS one of the teams that has beaten CC this season. Also, historically speaking, St. Cloud has had a relative amount of success at CSWA in the past. (Note: this might be an acceptable/thoughtful reason to believe the Huskies will win one or more games this weekend.)

Your claim that "At BEST CC will split" is also ludicrous. Do you really find it that hard to imagine CC taking three or four points this weekend? Stated slightly differently, do you find it that likely that St. Cloud will take three or four points this weekend? If your answer to either of these questions is "Yes" I advise seeking mental health treatment from your nearest provider ASAP.

In the future, would you please attempt to make your postings more thoughtful and provide at least ONE argument which is supported by evidence. Thanks for your attention to this matter.

So Godsmack, did Koivu deserve to have his leg broken by a cheap shot since he had elbowed Ohlund? Good logic. It's best to always cheap shot someone from behind. I was four rows from Zajac as he was taking hay-makers from Lucia. I guess he's not so tough when he has to look a guy in the eyes.

BTW, thanks for finally taking Frazee off the list as the Gophers goaltender.
