Aaaaaaargh. Not starting out well. We have to pick up a girl from my daughter's team who is coming in from Sweden............flight is delayed and as I write this, still in Iceland. Going to be a long, long day.

Hope the Kid from Sweden made it safely. Is she related to "Sweden" ? ;)

At any rate interested to know if anyone have any results to report as games started yesterday.

Understand the game was pretty close @ one point in the 3rd period of the game it was 3 to 4...and that Cushing actually had more shots on net then NAHA...

Congrats to All Tournament team members from Cushing: Brown, Crabtree, Szlosek.

Congrats to Cushing and the All tournament members from their team. I know that Cushing out shot NAHA in the second period and did come within a goal in that period. NAHA battled, held the lead, out shooting and adding two more goals in the 3rd to finish the game 6-3.

What impressed me about this game was how the NAHA girls came together without 4 of their top players on the bench and two others playing injured; Ammerman, Mangene, Boucher out for the U18 games, Semenza injured and out in the semi final game against Lawrence (just came back at the Polar Bear tournament from an injury), and two others playing through their injuries for the last two games.

This team has yet to play with a full, healthy squad this year and yet they finish at or near the top in the tournaments. To win Northwood with a depleted squad after 12 games against some tough competition in 7 days, said a lot about the heart of this team and I am glad that I got to see it all in person.

I've heard that Miss Crabtree is headed to Brown next year. Can anyone confirm this?

I don't know if it is true or not, but I thought she was very good, as well as Szlosek.

That's what I have heard through the grapevine, Cushing parents included.
