Do Exhibition Games count toward your 25 game total?

I would think not as they don’t count in your overall record and they don’t count towards individual stats. I could be wrong.

Thats what I thought too esp since gustavus has 26 games on their schedule with 1 exhibition game. But I'm wondering why so many of the MIAC teams have 2 or 3 exhibition games on their schedule, but dont have 25 real games?

Another interesting thing is that DI schools can have exhibition games against Canadian Int teams and it does not count towards their game totals, but from what I am told, they can not play US 19U teams in exhibition with out it counting towards their limit.

At the D3 level any contest played against a foreign team visiting the US is not counted toward the teams 25 game regular season limit (NCAA D3 Manual 17.1). Exhibition games played against U.S. compitition (Club, Allstar Teams, ect) count towards the 25 game limit. There are exemptions such as Alumni games, and games against US National teams during an Olympic year. Stats are not counted, and although the games count toward the teams 25 game limit they are not required to list them in their won - loss record.
