Can anyone tell me where Clancy Todd is? Her name is on the roster, but not on any of the game sheets.
Last seaosn she had concussion problems.
Is she injured again?

Good question re Clancy Todd. She hasn't suited up for any games yet so maybe there is a lingering problem. Colgate is playing fairly well but is getting no real productivity out of its best offensive players yet. The big guns need to step up. Gate should absolutely have beaten UConn yesterday with the shot advantage they had, but couldn't put it home. Also some faceoff problems on the lower lines that have to get resolved..

Was there. Sat with some of my buddies from down south that are coaching teams in your loop. Profette has graduated and is working for a year. Congrats to you and yours on last year!
As for Queen's.....we should be lighting it up but we aren't. Finished with a Silver Medal last year and the team is actually better than last years version. Its like they're stuck in concrete. Oh well it is a long season and there are many more games to play.

Tough weekend against Mercyhurst, but the Saturday game sounded like a barn burner. We need desperately to get that first win under our belts but with our schedule it's been tough. Toughest starting schedule I've seen in a while for a Colgate team in any sport..Keep your heads up, it will come..:)

Colgate 4, Brown 1.
For me, as a member of the Colgate community, the sweetest moment of this game was watching Laura Jansen score her first collegiate goal. She played an excellent game overall - everyone is noticing Laura's work ethic. Kara Leene never gives up - always keeps digging around the net and it pays off with the game winner. Nice way to start league play this weekend.
Colgate 3, Yale 2.
How do you recover from a painful second period down by a goal? You tie the game with 3 seconds left in the third to go to overtime and then win the whole thing while shorthanded with 39 seconds left to play. I am proud of our ladies yesterday - they dug in deep and never gave up when it counted. A very exciting game - most of us were on our feet for the last five or six minutes. Yale had a terrible first period - not a single shot on goal. They must have had quite the chat in the locker room because they looked like a completely different team in the second. Kiira Dosdall is always in position - it's like she has radar. Her goal with three seconds in regulation was a "barn burner!" And Kate Wolgemuth could not have place the puck any better on Sam Hunt's stick for the game-winner. Our defenders stepped up big this weekend. I still don't know how you call a penalty on the player with possession of the puck - perhaps I need to brush up on my rusty knowledge of every single rule - Ali Edell is still wondering about that call late in the overtime period. Oh well ... we are happy in Hamilton this morning. Have a great week everyone.

Great game last night against Q, but even as an enthusiastic Gate supporter I have to wonder what was going on with Q taking 14 penalties totaling 41 minutes...Talk about undisciplined..4 of 5 goals on the PP..At least we made them pay..Go Gate..:)

Good to see ;) as Colgate have a tendency to take a lot of penalties hopefully a sign of of good discipline. This is a good sign as against the better teams you don't need to be in the "sin bin" too often
Go 'Gate Go:cool:

Anyone see the game Friday ? Up 2-0 & then give up 4 in a row! Seems from the game summary there needs to some better Goaltending:mad: 4 on 25 shots & Scoring only 2 goals on 37 shots:mad:
Hopefully they can rebound on Saturday

Nice rebound on Saturday and especially nice to see Sam Hunt step up. The team needs her leadership to be successful during the remainder of the season..Go Gate..:)

Agreed but she has to be more consistent as well as having some of the other seniors and juniors step it up. They will need better Goal Tending if they hope to compete with the better teams.

Princeton 4
Colgate 2
All I can say is penalties, penalties, penalties. I walked out halfway through the third period. I was afraid I might say something that I would later regret! The officiating was atrocious. The second period was a joke. Melanson was clearly hallucinating when he called Ali Edell for hitting from behind and assessed a five minute major and a 10 minute game misconduct - watch the tape. Thankfully, the word on the street is that an ECAC staffer witnessed the horrendous officiating on Friday night and may be taking action.

Don't hold your breath waiting for the league to do something, it won't happen !!. A league that allows Danyel Howard to referee is not worried about quality perfromance from their officials. That being said the officials don't play the game.
The Raiders have a problems with stopping the puck (low save percentage), the lack goal scoring in quality games (12 shots vs Tigers) & leadership (waiting for someone to take charge).
If they don't solve these, it is going to be a tough second half :(
