Forum folks,

The 2007-2008 edition of the Rutter Computer Rankings are up and running. Here is the link:

You can see the effects of last week's three games, but it hasn't changed much since last season. And the RPI numbers are kind of silly given the small number of games.

D-III will be up once that season kicks off. When I didn't have kids, this would have been done in August. Oh well, the price of becoming an "adult." If you will excuse me, I have to build another marble run.

Well Dr. Rutter, nice to see you back as you seem to take your summers off from the USCHO forum. You haven't missed much (yea right). Lets see if you can fudge those numbers to ensure the Mercyhurst Lakers are #1 throughout the whole season and post season. See you tonight.

Am I correct in assuming that teams with such abnormally low RPI rankings are once who have yet to play a game?

I'm always interested in seeing this analysis (once the teams get enough games under their belts to make it worthwhile). In the meantime, I understand that parties are being organized this evening on the Vermont and Union campuses to celebrate their move into the top 10 on the RPI index.:D

Yes, 28 of the teams have an RPI of zero because they haven't played any games yet. Robert Morris and Union have played, but not won, and their opponents have not played anyone either, so they have an RPI of zero.

Once the teams get a few games under their belts, RPI will be a bit more meaningful. I provide RPI for comparison and because USCHO.com doesn't show their RPI numbers until at least January.
