I was just looking for hotels and both the Best Western and Comfort Suites show no availability, and the same goes for the B&Bs in Canton.

I can't find a website for the St. Lawrence Inn, so I'm not sure about that.

Any other suggestions for lodging?

The Inn was torn down about 4 years ago. The Clarkson Inn would be a good choice, but depending on how much luxury you need there are a few nice Motels in the area. Lake Placid is about 1hr 30 minutes from Canton.
Check out northcountrynow.com for places to stay in the general area. Smallings motels are very nice and clean, plus reasonable rates.

Clarkson Inn is probably out of my budget. I'm looking at either the EconoLodge or Super 8 in Massena.

Both very reasonable.........and clean.

Massena is about 45 minutes from Canton. You could also find some decent places in Ogdensburg, about a 30 minutes drive, depending on the number of Amish buggies on the road. LOL

Hell yeah, it is. :eek: It would be cheaper to rent one of those economy cars from Enterprise for the weekend.

Or maybe a Saints fan/student would let you crash on the couch. I can vouch for freak, that despite his name he has decent hygiene and no psychopathic traits......that I am aware of.

you probably should call the best western or the comfort suites directly because i can't possibly see why they would be booked that far in the future....and i don't think anything special is going on in town but i could be wrong.

Unless it is homecoming or parents weekend, which tend to have that effect on accommodations in and around schools. Plus, that would be about the time that foliage would be peak as well. How is the leaf peeping in that area?
