:p Yeah, I emailed the event mgr about playing tomorrow night and was told that their policy was to have the media dept run the show.

Fine. No problems.....that reads like the PA and DJ get all the stoppages. Other schools (BU, Dartmouth, sUeCONN) have integrated me into their program, but I can understand where BC may not want to do that.

So I mentioned you and your far less formal 'act,' and asked if it would be okay to just do the fight song (b4/after periods), penalty tag, and goal song...which wouldn't interfere with the PA/DJ.

This time I was told that "visiting bands" are not allowed except during tourneys like the Beanpot.

Oh well....

The PC reference......a few years ago UNH allowed Providence to send a full pep band to the Whitt for a regular conference game. They denied my request to play at Schneider. They ended up having a 5 piece pep...er rock band (set, tpt, alto sax, guitar, bass) play, half of which didn't show up until halfway through the game.

LAME.

BC athletics' 'external operations' sucks. It's probably the 2nd worst part of BC after the Math department.

Hmm ... I wonder who that's a jab at? :D

LOL. I'm the reason BC's math department sucks. He's not kidding (See my 2.9 GPA for proof) :p

Bring your stuff and if the BC SS come bother you, we will boo mercilessly. I'm not sure that will help but we'll do our part.

That's okay. Not playing will allow me to hit Roggie's before the game (tough to maintain an emboucher with a buzz :p ). Also, there will probably be some other UNH fans there, so I'll most likely be sitting with them.

All I know is that this better be one h*ll of a game......with BC/VT and the Sox on the same night, AND I took the night off from work to make the game.

They moved up the start of the VaTech game, too.

I hate how I have marching band rehearsal at 7. That is brutality.

Joe will have his laptop (and I'm letting him borrow mine while I'm not there) to have the red sox and vt games on during the UNH game, for what it's worth.

Hmm....I'll probably take the commuter rail in from Haverhill (don't want to deal with parking/gas), and the last outbound is just after midnight. So I might be able to catch the last of the BC/VT and some of the Sox at Roggie's after the hockey game.

IDK, there's just something about this post that bears the need for it to be repeated, again :p :D

Yes Sir....GO ROCKIES! Will be at home opener for Colorado Eagles (CHL Hockey). I'm sure they'll announce the scores. Can't miss my hockey. The home Eagles announcer also announces for the Rockies!!!! (a 27 year old wonder!!)....

The Rockies going into this series remind me of an English soccer team that just got promoted into the First Division after winning the Second Division. They are all pumped up because they steamrolled the teams in the lower division, but once they have to move up to the big leagues, they will go crashing down. The Rockies are a cute, feel-good story, but we've been on the wrong end of that saga too many times. It's time for us to be the big bad wolf.

Red Sox in 5.

BC 27, V Tech 20.
UNH 3, BC 1. (Will sieve myself and celebrate wildly if wrong)

His marching band practice is right next door to the hockey game, so I think he's screwed. :)

Oh, that is just torture. So close, yet so far. He'll be able to smell the snacks on the breeze, and catch the faint sound of puck hitting board and iron. Pure torture.

Maybe we can stage a Ninja rescue mission?

Why don't they just get a little dress rehearsal in at the game? Minus to foot stomping and formations and all:)

Someone suggested that to me, I don't remember who (It might have been Joe), and I think it's an awesome idea, but we can't exactly play the whole time during gameplay, can we :p

And yeah, rehearsal in Alumni, game in Conte.

I WILL, however, be at the game until about 6:53pm before the game, then I can glance in for maybe 30 seconds at about 7:01pm, and then I'll take a "bathroom break" and run in at about 8 or so for a minute and check things out. Then when rehearsal is over (It can honestly be anywhere from 8 till 10), I'll be there till the bitter end.

No overtime, please.

I say this one is a low-scorer, which helps us. If Doiron refs, we win 2-0, if not, we win 2-1.

Go Eagles (those other Eagles ;) ) Most of the time, these tickets are the hardest to score...at least for me :(

If you are in Northern Colorado we sometimes have one extra Eagles ticket. Send me an email if and when.

Doiron's incompetence could affect either team negatively. You just never know.
