Thought I would kick up the dust a bit and ask if you take into consideration the wins and losses during the holiday tournaments, would the top 8 predictions change? Were there any surprises? Would love to have comments on both D I and II.

From the games that I saw this weekend, I would say that Cushing will be a top team in the prep league. I was also impressed with some of the speed of the Brewster team in the few games that I saw at Northwood.
I think that Gunnery playing against tough competition in the DI division should pay off in their own division the rest of the season.

From what I was emailed, that was really the Polar Bear U14 team, with some kids from various Polar Bear U16 and U19 teams who do not go to any prep school tossed in to fill out the roster. These games are similar to the NEWHL games that are arranged not only to give the U14 kids some experience, but also to expose them to prep schools. It's kind of a recruiting tool.

is there a site for stats records?
well you can get an incomplete picture at
http://www.ushr.com/
but.... it is only as accurate as what has been reported by coaches ..at least that is my understanding .

Correct

Most coaches don't report their stats but the schools record, most rosters, and schedules are posted.

Correct

Most coaches don't report their stats but the schools record, most rosters, and schedules are posted.

I think that they are often inconsistent in what and when they post as far as results are concerned. They do post leading scorers but that again can only be as accurate as what they are given .Some schools give no information at all.
I am not exactly sure how the whole thing works .
Is it only coaches that report? AD's? or is there a central person for divisions that collects information and then enters it?

Tabor is actually 6-3 in NEPSAC. Games played against other D1 prep schools in tournaments count toward league standings.

well I left off all the tournament games .
I was not sure how those worked in the standings and not everyone posted them . so I opted to just post the league scores off the websites ... in my free time;)
just out of curiosity .
when a D1 school plays a D2 school does that game count towards their standings in their division ? (for both schools?)
thanks

This what I have through 1/7. It includes only the prep school games (NAHA is a prep school, NEWHL is not), including the pre-holiday tourney's. What I'm not sure about is OT wins in those tourneys. I heard there is a ruling that shoot out victories only count as ties for both teams, but I'm not sure. I left the scores as I found them.

These are two of three polls used to ranks teams. The power ranking is meaningless right now. A lot of teams have played only a handful of D1 schools.

The number of games played by any one team doesn't match those of any other team; rankings are done by percentages.

This is my work gleaned from web sites and does not reflect anything official. I don't have this kind of info on D2; it takes a while to do.

Well ok then ;)
I guess they are 5-1
Lawrence had not posted that score yet I guess I should have said that those were the scores posted through 1/05/08 for some schools and 1/06/08 for others.
well my bad
just tried to quickly get an idea of the wins losses from the schools web sites I am sure that there may be some missing ...
