Anyone have any thoughts on the USCHO DIII Women's Honors?

I saw all 26 Bowdoin games this season and a total of around 40 games and was surprised that USCHO did not honor defensewomen such as Kirsten Dier (Fy Amherst, all-NESCAC 1st team), Tiffany Hart or Jamie Kivi (both Fy Elmira D) or Kelley McCarthy (So. Trinity, all-NESCAC 2nd team) and completely overlooked Annmarie Cellino (who really functioned as a D in the Midd system-and scored 33 points in her new role). I think people will agree it is difficult to assess the quality of defensive players based on stats alone; one really needs to see them.

I was surprised to see Kristen Cameron on the First Team East. I saw all 26 Bowdoin games this season and felt Kristen did not have a great year.

I like the thread, but I think we should avoid singling out players that made it, and maybe wondering why some player did NOT make the list. If you don't think Cameron deserved to be on it, then Who should have made it. The awards were announced today, at least allow the players to enjoy their honor before you start doubting them. Just a thought.

I agree. Congratulations to all of the honored players.

Enjoy the honor!
