I'm surprisied Jakaitis didn't make it as a finalist. I guess the fan voting doesn't count for much.
Like I've said in another thread, I've lost alot of respect for the Hobey Baker selection committee. 63,000 votes for JJ, and that isn't good enough to make the top 10? What a JOKE! To put that in perspective, every student at LSSU would have had to vote 21 times each to get that many votes in.
Why even have fan voting? Can someone answer that for me?

You're under the mistaken impression that the fan vote is a significant part of the process. It isn't, nor should it be. (If I remember right, the fan vote counts as one vote... with every coach in D1 also getting one vote.)

To increase fan interest in the award by making them feel like they're part of the process.

Unfortunately Jeff let in 3 today and his team couldn't score any.

No, Jeff let in 2. One was an empty net goal. The lakers just couldn't get past the tough defense of Notre Dame.

I really have nothing to ad to this thread, so I just would like to know if anyone can say where JJ will end up next year (or this year)??

Even if he himself has a good idea of that, nothing could be said until the season is over.

Well the season is over now - so if JJ is finished with his LSSU coursework, I wouldn't be surprised at ALL if he went pro very soon - as he should. He can and will compete at the next level, and I look forward to seeing him in a pro uni soon!
GO LAKERS! What a run! Can't wait until next year!
