To those of you who would know:
Are there any future D-I or D-III NCAA players in tomorrow night’s Massachusetts High School girls’ championships at Harvard?
6PM Milton vs. Barnstable – Division 2 Title
8PM Austin Prep vs. Arlington Catholic – Division 1 Title
Tough to say. Had St. Mary's made the final I think you could safely say there were at least three players, maybe even five, on that team that will play D1. (Savary a SR, if she PGs, Gauthier, Golden, Broderick, & Gottwald.) They also have an eight grader, whose name escapes me, who has talent in spades and another four years to showcase it.
Austin Prep has a senior defenseman, Alexa Hingston, that has caught the attention of a number of college coaches, with Providence being very interested in her. Arlington Catholic also has a senior D, Amber Comeau who has the talent to play D1 as well, though she would probably need to PG to get some more exposure as well.

Isn't Alexa Hingston listed as going to St. Anslem's next year on the DivIII list? Did she change her mind?

I have seen this group of girls play FOREVER. I HIGHLY DOUBT they wll play DI. With the exception of gauthier. They are not DI caliber players. Not one has ver made the National DEv program. I think you are highly overaring them.

Yes, she is indeed. Doesn't mean a kid can't change her mind, but that isn't the case here.

Making the National Development program isn't the be all and end all route to D1. Ask Kacey Bellamy, Colllen Martin, Lee J Mirasolo to name a few.
St. Mary's underclassmen have the potential to make the step up. Gauthier has shown the skill, and has decent speed, and she will get faster. The younger D also have the potential to become D1 caliber players over the next few years. It will depend on how hard they work to improve themselves.
Barnstable topped Milton in D2, and AC jumped all over AP early, and kept them pinned down to take home the D1 crown 3-0.

Good for Barnstable. I'm not sure who I'd find to be the 'lesser of two evils' in DI...
Would have been nice to check out the games, but I had a date with about three tons of homework before heading out to Lake Placid.

game was over early. great to see a good crowd at the game but... $10 to get in. I don't even have kids playing but paying 10 to see my child play is tough and 5 for parking?? good atmosphere. suffering defense by Barnstable, didn't let Milton get into the homeplate area that often and goalie made the saves she needed to.

I understand that. But i know the girls very well you speak of. My Daughter played on a team with them for years. My daughter carried the team.( and she is having difficulty makig it to D1 level . She is 3x the skater as any of them.
I think Gauthier will have a shot not so sure of any of the others.

Take a look at the pre-post prep thread and my post regarding the CODP clone that will be running out of Wilmington this summer. This will put your daughter over the hump and into the D1 group.
