The Canada Winter Games is now only one month away. I would think that would be a prime scouting opportunity for the universities. This year it is being held in the Yukon (Whitehorse) and it is the same week as the Esso Women's Nationals (why would they do that?). I wonder how many university scouts will be at the Canada Games given the location? I don't think the Esso Nationals will draw the scouts over the Canada Games because the age of the Canada Games players are prime for recruiting. Any thoughts?

The yukon was picked as host a long time ago, it just happens to be their turn. Hockey just happens to be one of the many sports that played at that time.As for the esso nationals be at the same time I don't think hockey canada cares. this is the national champships for the womens league that play across canada and is not a show case for D1 recruiting even though that many women are recruited from this leagues.
