I would love to know who people feel are the most underrated players in women's college hockey. More specifically, in hockey east and the ivy's...

I hear this a lot about Hawkins from UCONN, but who else?

I hear this a lot about Hawkins from UCONN ...Hawkins was USCHO's Rookie of the Year for the whole country in 2005 over players like Riggs and Vaillancourt, so she is apparently rated pretty highly in some circles.

Hawkins also was Hockey East ROY. Last season her goal-scoring fell in half and her team went from Hockey East contender to out of the playoffs (though I'm not claiming that's all her fault), so naturally she fell off the radar a bit, but I wouldn't classify her as underrated. If you want to name the best players who didn't get All-League honors last season, definitely Kacey Bellamy for UNH for Hockey East. For Ivy/ECACHL, I'd say Jenny Brine of Harvard and Marianna Locke of St. Lawrence.

MaryKate Oakley and Brittany Salmon at Princeton.

I think at the national level, Princeton players are pretty underrated, and Princeton itself this season has kind of fallen under the radar despite coming off a school-best season. Oakley was one player I thought of, but she was Second Team All-Ivy, Third Team All-ECAC, so not unrecognized for sure, but probably does not have quite the national reputation she deserves. And Salmon's certainly worth a mention.
