Badgers will win both games. Johnson will have his troops well prepared. Watch for it.

St. Cloud State @ Minnesota
Minnesota @ St. Cloud State...

I'll go with Gophers/SCSU split
Apparently, your only mistake was in giving the Gophers too much credit.

Question for Binny.. if ya see this b4 it gets buried.... did Jeff (Decc announcer) really say Chalk Talk is Friday evening at 7 pm???? The same time the men's series starts.. I'm thinking he meant Thursday since it's usually been Thursdays since I've never had a chance to attend one.

I'll take this one for Binnyrus....Yes, the Chalk Talk is Friday evening at Sir Ben's in Duluth, since it's a Sat/Sun afternoon series against Mercyhurst. We have the Chalk Talks the evening before the first game. Generally, that's a Thursday night since most of our games in previous years were Fri/Sat night games.

While I know that not everyone that attends the women's games actually goes to the men's games... it seems like a really odd way to schedule that, at the time the men take on St. Cloud.

"St. Cloud State University women's hockey team (1-2-1, 1-2-1 WCHA) made history today in the National Hockey Center as it defeated the No. 6/7 Minnesota Gophers (2-1-1, 0-1-1 WCHA) by a score of 2-1. This Husky squad became the first team in school history to not be defeated by Minnesota in a weekend series after notching a 4-4 overtime tie against the Gophers last night in Ridder Arena."

WOW.

WOW.

SCSU really grew out of the UMD sweep in their own building..can they carry it on to next weekend with Wisconsin at the NHC (Concrete Center as known by many Bulldog fans).

Wisconsin and OSU tied 2-2...... attendance says 1461.. great turnout for a game happening while the Packers were playing...

UMD/BSU is listed at 586 people.. and the DECC is scanning tickets as you walk in now.. so I kind of hope *THAT* is how they're counting attendance rather than counting those sold and not attended ;)

With the Gopher women at OSU next weekend.. if any Gopher fans have any thoughts of attending UMD/Mercyhurst Saturday or Sunday.. they changed the game times to 3:07 (from 3:37) Saturday and Sunday is now 1:07 because Mercyhurst's flight back east required a different game start time.

Of course, you could be planning on listening to the game on the radio or maybe buying the live feed from the b2livetv website (http://b2livetv.com/) also

Considering how close SCSU played Wisconsin last year (aside from a 8-2 loss, the other three games all went to OT with two ties), there is the potential for another upset, but it's still Wisconsin and that's a tall order. I would think Newell would be in net again, since she was the key in the Sconnie games and really seems to give SCSU the best chance to win. After coming in to relieve Lauri St. Jacques after she gave up 7 goals in the first game against Wisconsin last season, Newell made 118 saves and only gave up 8 goals in her 3+ games.

The exceptions tend to be real blowouts, like the game you mentioned or the 2006 WCHA semi. The key goals for SCSU last weekend came on the PP, and against Bucky, one doesn't get many opps. At least we are getting closer and closer to the point where the league games every week are interesting.
