A few more lessons for US Hockey.

Maybe the day will come when we can recognize and give a proper salute to our captain.

Not as long as the prolific and persistent political culture exists at our leadership level.

What a great ambassador for women's hockey and for women in general. Cassie never forgot her family and friends and was always helping the kids on and off the ice. I think we will see Cassie take on different roles with respect to hockey but she will have a very important and significant impact in other ways in addition to being a player.

Never mind her accomplishments on the ice--In this day and age of whiny, overpaid, steriod-popping, compulsive-gambling male athletes, Cassie Campbell has always been a class act (and easy on the eyes, even when being interviewed drenched in sweat during intermissions). I wonder if Hockey Canada will retire #77.
I am sure at some point the fences will be mended, but Mrs. Ferraro didn't do much to help her case by the whining and sniping that went on, and continues to go on. I agree that her cutting, and Shelley Looney's, should have been handled differently, but carrying on like she has doesn't make me much of a fan of hers. Looney hasn't said boo, and her name is bandied about with reverence revernece. Granato is fast becoming persona non grata.
