Who advances to the Sweet 16?
Results thus far seem to indicate:
1. People vote purely based on the seed.
2. There are a whole lot of people who don't venture into Western threads too often.
3. Voters are turned on by those who cannot follow through with their own ideas/threads.
4. A combination of the preceding three is true.

Or maybe it is Eastern Bias :)
Actually there are a number of cases in which the lower seed has advanced.
Second round already we have me (apparently), GreatLaker06, kimmerdog, and jo glotz all advancing over higher seeded opposition, and with just a couple of hours left it looks like Remy may not advance.

In the case of Ciskie vs NUProf, Bruce hasn't posted much this year as opposed to NUProf, thus he getrs more votes. pete99race looks like a winner from the west. Thus your east vs west theory is brought into question.

I was referring only to the race in this thread. Perhaps I should have rephrased #4:
4. Some not necessarily all-inclusive combination of the above is true.
It is my belief that the 10 people who found Remy a better poster than Pete fit into one of the three categories I described. At best, they are under-read, at worst they are complete dolts. Just my opinion, but it's a correct one nonetheless in this case.
