This match up will be very interesting to watch. Who will the winner be after 60 minutes of play?? (Or maybe after many OVERTIMES.)

ME My self would extremly want SLU to shut Minisota out.

ok, maybe it was done as a joke, but just in case it is spelt Minnesota. Second, we are Minnesota-Duluth, only the gophers call themeselves Minnesota.

ok now that thats out of the way, I agree, I will be a very interesting game. The determining factor usually tends to be which UMD will show up. If its the fiery hard skating team we saw earlier in the year and against Bemidji, they'll be very tough. I can't say I know much about SLU outside stats, i dont see them play...ever. But you cn be sure that the 'Dawgs remember what happened in Superior last year (the band remembers so i guarentee the team does) and will be looking to return the favor....GO DOGS!!!

P.S. I will hopefully still be down in the cities on saturday for the mens wcha final five (I can dream), but does anyone know if the women's game will be televised in duluth?

Doesn't look that way on tvguide.com. All the basketball games are on tv and if UMD boys were playing i'm sure they would trump the women. The only way is if Channel 10/13 bumped "the sixth sense" for the womens game.

heh not likely...they wouldnt bump "Desperate Housewives" so we could watch the men beat Denver, I doubt they would do sometihng as silly as to televise a womens game...and i cant imagine well get lcky enough to get another to get another web feed...grrrr

The band is ALWAYS loud...thats our specialty, and as for the dancing, yes...they are quite good at it. We noticed a few of the fans joining in with the dancing, always inspiring...being inspired makes us play louder..we play louder and ppl dance more...i think you see where this is going...

Of course, officially, according to the protocol specified by the University of Minnesota, it's the University of Minnesota Twin Cities (campus). The rest of us are coordinating campuses. Which makes the Gophers spelling bee after each score technically inaccurate.

you make an excellent point, thus why i said they refer to themselves as such. there was a very interesting conversation on the mens forum when tUMD played UMTC covering that same topic.

if you really think that then you are out of your mind!!! SLU has not had any team roll over them this year, and it will not happen this weekend. they should be especially focused after losing to harvard in what was a horrible loss, and they are incredible at home.

Yah its wierd because if you took classes at UMD and then the Twin Cities and then say Crookston...all of the classes at all of the schools would show up on the same transcript. I think thats wierd.

What did you think of their game vs. Harvard? How was the officiating and was Boe tremendous or was St. Lawrence playing flat? I have only seen St. Lawrence play once this year against Dartmouth. How have they looked down the stretch?

The game vs. Harvard was a great game, it was neck and neck and both teams were playing hard. Then in the third period the ref put the whistle away and didn't call anything, not even a few hard hits from behind. I mean I'm all for letting them play but dangerous plays should be called. Boe was good in goal but if SLU had only lifted the puck on the rebounds they would have run away with the win. I'm sure the Saints will be ready to make up for that tough loss this weekend.

actually it was a funky combination of all three. harvard (and especially Boe) played absolutely incredible, SLU was flat/off their game, and the ref (although he wasn't overly bad) missed some penalties. i guess you need all things above to go against SLU just to beat them ;) :D .

one thing i have noticed from watching these girls is that after a tough loss, which there hasn't been many losses this year, they respond well in the next game. saturday against duluth they will play excellent, no doubt in my mind.

Will there be a local Timew Warner broadcast of this game in the Canton tv market?
