we were hoping to get to the parks early in Baltimore (tomorrow) and Philly (friday) to check out B.P., I haven't done that since I was a kid, at Fenway, are the parks still usually open that early, and what time is good to get there for BP?
Baltimore, like most parks, let you in an hour early. Thing is, that's when the Sox will be up at BP.
Gibber -- as others have said, Camden Yards is a great place to enjoy a game. You will enjoy the difference between Camden and Fenway. However, if you have been to Fenway lately, you will see that it's obvious that the same folks who did Camden Yards are now helping to expand the area of Fenway.

Absolutely. There are definitely similar things.
The best thing is that they walk around selling beer. You don't even need to get up to buy beer. :D :D :D

Ummm, they do that at most ballparks.
And they charge you more for a beer if they bring it to you than if you go to the concession stand and wait for the beer.

I know, but that was my first experience with it. And i'll pay the extra buck for them to bring it to me. It's already $9 anyway, what's 1 more? ;)

I've been to Camden, just not in almost 10 years, so I'm looking forward to going back, and having another Boog Powell sandwich :)
Thanks for the info again everyone
I know, that's going to suck. I assume they'll have to make a few callups that weekend against Texas - 5 games in 3 days against a good hitting team.
But my comment was specifically referring to right now.Of course Texas will have the same problem. Their pitching's improved from awful to mediocre, but I doubt that they have much depth. We could have some basketball type scores. As for the current situation, I'll sure take the Beckett/Schilling v. Lopez/Chen matchups.

Theres talk that Ellsbury could be back in the lineup on Thursday, but it's not for sure. He'd been hitting in the cage and running since last Monday, before being sent to FLA, he's closer to being back than Lowrie.

As long as 1 is back I'll be happy. Also bummed Hottovy got bumped for Mendoza because of rain.

Ummmmm, but they don't do it at Fenway so of course someone who is not used to that treat will call it out as a highlight. There's no need to get snippy with him.

Wait, the guy knows I'm teasing and *you* take offense to it? Hahahahahahahaha. Stifle yourself.
Wow.

I don't think he knows you were teasing (and I don't think you were either). He was just way more polite in his reponse. And stifle myself? The Archie Bunker comments are not clever at all.

They usually open up 1 hour before game time. The home team takes BP first and is usually off the field by the time the gates open, so you might get to see the Sox take BP.
When we went to Camden Yards last September, we were able to watch most of the Orioles BP from the flagpole area in Right Field. It's standing room only, and the wall is kinda high - Gib, you won't have any problem seeing over it, but anyone shorter than you might. After Orioles BP, they opened up the stands, so you can walk around and get closer to the field/dugouts/home plate (we walked around and hung out behind the Sox dugout).

Remember when the Orioles owned the Red Sox? 13 straight wins against them now.
