Haunted, I think tomorrow's decision will be based on today. Harder to make up 2 games than 1... but that's just guessing (the first part of my comment)

Strange game. Six innings of tractor pull, three innings of intense baseball. I'll take it, but teams that leave 15 men on base and bases loaded three times don't deserve to win. Ironic that the winning runs scored on what was actually a pretty good defensive play.

Saw only the last two innings if that nad dozed through the wrapup.

This defensive play you referred to...was that Jeter's nice catch and off line throw? If so, how do you call that a pretty good def play?

Don't you know that he doesn't make those? Just ask TBA...or TBA#2.

Yes, but that was before the thread post limit was enacted IIRC.

No, the current HG is over 2k. Board is claiming the limit is still in place, but there are several threads over 1k right now.

Before the post limit, some of the HG threads got up near 10k. Since then, there have been a few threads that got up into the 11-1200 range before being closed. I want to say around 1700 was the most between the beginning of the post limit and the recent relaxing of that rule.

I'll be there too. It'd be nice if they cancelled it earlier than that as I have a 2 hour drive to get down there. Oh well, it's not like I'm not going to go drive down there. Should be fun. The weather page estimates the "feels like" temp to be around 39 degrees.

I don't care how well Hanley is hitting, that Beckett and Lowell deal is a smashing success to this point, I hope they both continue on like this.

Hottovy loses again tonight, Ellsbury and Lowrie are down in FL for precautionary reasons with their injuries.

some quick thoughts:

Wily Mo has been outstanding lately
The NESN radar gun said Beckett hit 97, the ESPN gun said he hit 99. Methinks 97 was a little closer to the truth
Mike Lowell is on fire
Extra days off = more gooder pitching :D

Let me know how you feel when we are using 6th and 7th string pitchers in double headers

I know, that's going to suck. I assume they'll have to make a few callups that weekend against Texas - 5 games in 3 days against a good hitting team.

But my comment was specifically referring to right now.

we were hoping to get to the parks early in Baltimore (tomorrow) and Philly (friday) to check out B.P., I haven't done that since I was a kid, at Fenway, are the parks still usually open that early, and what time is good to get there for BP?

They usually open up 1 hour before game time. The home team takes BP first and is usually off the field by the time the gates open, so you might get to see the Sox take BP.
