he's not Graffanino?
You're right. Graffanino could hit.

What exactly is so great about Mark Loretta anyway?
Baseball-Reference (http://www.baseball-reference.com/l/loretma01.shtml) is your friend, and so are All-Star second basemen who average a .365 OBP.

According to baseball-reference.com, he has an ERA of 4.41 with two strikeouts in 1 IP. ;)
He is unspectacular but makes $2.75 and is a .300 hitter. A solid role player. I like him..

Graff also had 0 range. And Loretta can hit just fine, give him more than a month. Graff didnt exactly light it up.

Holy minimum wage he works cheap!!!! :D :D ;)
I get that Loretta is overall a better player than Graf, but I would rather have had Graf playing his utility best rather than have a catcher that has actually cost the team runs by not being able to catch a baseball. But all that is moot now that Mirabelli is back with the team.

Looking at baseball-reference I found this interesting chart
http://www.baseball-reference.com/leaders/leaders_salaries.shtml
Kevin Brown is #2 on the all time money leaderboard. Can you imagine having made $130 million in your lifetime? Holy mackrel.

Every team has to have an all-star, so that doesn't mean anything. I don't care about what he's done in the past in the national league. I care about what I have seen from him and what I saw from Graffanino at the end of last year. I'm not saying Graffanino is a great player or that he should be the second baseman, but Loretta hasn't shown me anything. I hope he turns it around.

Um...why don't you take a look at the numbers he put up in that latest All-Star season?

So basically you're using one month to judge his ability. Thankfully the powers that be take a little more into consideration.

He's getting close to the ignore list, none of his posts have much weight with me.

I'm going on what I've seen. I don't care what he did in San Diego or Milwaukee. It's not the same as performing in Boston. Just ask Edgar Renteria.

So, mix of boos and cheers, and Johnny tips the helmet. Fair enough, there were people cheering, but then he does it again. And again.
The "Traitor" chant is interesting. And loud.

Yankee radio announcer John Sterling said the CF fans threw dollar bills at Damon? True?
Geeze...if you can afford to toss it away, just send me a check instead. :p

Ok, I gotta admit, that was a dreadful bunt by Loretta. But he's such an amazing contact hitter, you'd think he'd be half decent as a bunter.

Ok, when the right fielder hasn't picked up the ball yet and you are rounding third base, what kind of moronic third base coach puts on the breaks.
(And yes, I am upset because that cost me an RBI in fantasy baseball)

And he doesn't bring anything to this team defensively, either. :p
