Papi. Get it right, bandwagoner.
If you don't pay attention, he might go away.

To be honest, I was hoping he would come in today and do real well. The guy is such a headcase, that I think it would help him tremendously to start the year off real well.
Now that they're up 5 - 0, I hope he doesn't come in too, because that would mean someone gave up the lead...
Let's hope he never has to come in... longer that it can be held off the longer we have to accept that the Sox have no closer.

David Ortiz is an animal. 3 - 4 with 3 RBIs.
And they intentionally walk Manny.

For someone who can actually SEE the game, how does Schilling look. The numbers look good, but I can't really get a read on it from WEEI. Does he look strong? That would go a long way towards relieving some of my fears.

He looked VERY good today....completely in control from the first pitch on. The Ranger hits were just a few singles and a 350 foot homer by Blaylock. Lots of pitches for an opening day start, especially considering how little he threw in the spring, but hopefully that proves just how strong he feels rather than set the tone for a future injury, like the ESPN guys are implying it might.

His appearance hasn't changed much. He's still wearing both a uniform and Red Sox cap. He seems to be about the same height, might have lost a lil weight.
Exactly what kind of "read" do you need off of 7 innings , 5 hits, 5K's and approx 110 pitches in his first start?

Papelbon coming in, Schilling's done. Final line: 7 IP, 2 ER, 5 H, 5 K, 1 BB. A great start.
Youk needs a hit, so the whole team will have a hit.

Is he overpowering people, are his outs being hit hard, does he seem to be hitting his spots, does he look like hes laboring? All the things I can't SEE on the radio.

7 - 2 margin. Think Foulke can hold it?

That was a ridiculous catch by Crisp.
Damon would never have gotten there.

Well, 1 inning, 1 run for Foulke. This can't continue. He should be on a relatively short leash.

Absolutely, and there's no way they're planning on paying him $1 mm a year to pitch for Pawtucket.
But we still need a contributing Foulke.
