I am starting this thread because I am very lazy and tired of going to so many different threads to post RPI information.
To start off, I am going to list some of the players and their teams that have appeared here. Than if anyone has informqtion on any of them or other RPI alum, you can post them right here.
NHL
Adam Oates-Capitals Joe Juneau-Canadiens
AHL
Brad Tapper-Wolves Brian Pothier- Wolves
Neil Little- Phantoms Eric Healey-Monarchs
ECHL
Joel Laing-Nailers Chris Aldous-Royals
Dan Riva-Royals Bryan Richardson-Mystics
Pete Gardiner-Express Alain St.Hilaire-Express
It truly hurt to have to list Tapper and Pothier in the AHL category, bu that's life.
I know that there are other alum in the pros and if you have any additions or other information, please post them.

EHF, Thanks for starting this thread. I agree that there is no need for the different threads which overlap anyway.
Mark Murphy is playing on the Caps' AHL team (Portland?). I am sure that there are others, but at 3:30 am, it's hard to think of them.

Thanks for the info on Murphy, not only is he in Portland, but he is excelling.

He had such a good year last year, I'm surprised he didn't get at least a look with the Capaitals.
To cover some of the other players I may not have known were in the pros, I offer this from the RPI site

Sorry about the RPI link on my previous post, It was not the page I wanted to send, however, if you want to surf through it, it has some good information.

Healey continued his hot scoring touch last night with two goals and two assists in a 5-5 tie.
Also indicated in the story about the game was the fact that he just signed for the remainder of the season with the Monarchs.
(what took them so long?).
He now leads the team in scoring and goals.

EHF, The specific link is http://www.rpi.edu/dept/athletics/m_hockey/alumni.htm . They don't keep it up to date. Then again, it is hard to keep track of people in the lower minors.

Ralph,
Thanks for the link.
Also, I have to admit that when you mentioned Mark Murphy, I did not recognize the name. So I went back to my Program archive and pulled out the 2/19/99 program and found that Mark was tied for third in scoring at that point in the season.
The players ahead of him were Riva, and St.Hilare & the ones that he was tied with were Gardner, Tapper and Murley.
I watched this guy play his whole career and he never made a very big impression.
Now he is one of the best pros we have. I am going to have to pay much closer attention.

I know this is a thread for the professionals, but I just wanted to list the draftees. I am sure that everyone knows this, but here is a list just in case you didn't know:
Murley-Pittsburgh
M. Cavosie-Minnesota
Eberly-NY Rangers
Henkel-Los Angeles
McPherson-Pittsburgh
Marsters-Los Angeles
Senez-Montreal(?)
That is all I know, but if there are more feel free to post them. I am not sure about the freshman because I missed the first half of the season, but I will be there with bells on for their first game in January.

engineerhockeyfan-Mark Murphy has just been a step from the NHL for a while now. He was often overlooked at RPI but he had one of the hardest shots seen there in years. He is a solid 200 pounds and hits with all of it. Never had a chance to show it at RPI but he has a wee bit of a temper and is not afraid to drop his gloves. If the Caps falter a bit watch for a call up for him.

jericho, Senez was drafted by Detroit.

Friday night, Riva had 2 goals and an assist. Aldous had a goal.
Saturday night, Murphy registered an assist and Healey had two assists to continue a very hot streak for Eric.
To change the subject a little, the 1998/99 RPI hockey team contained most of the alum in the pros and many of the currently drafted players.
Pothier, Gardiner,St.Hilaire,Henkel,Riva,Dupee,Murley,Laing ,Murphy, McPherson, and Tapper.
I realize that some of these players were young at the time, but I just wanted to take another shot at Fridgen.
It was suggested a while back here that maybe RPI wasn't as talented as we thought they were and Fridgen was not the problem. At this time, I must disagree.

One day after being sent to Chicago (Friday), Brad Tapper scored his 4th AHL goal of the season for the Wolves, helping them to a 3-0 lead over the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks, which became a 4-2 victory.
Would love to hear more updates, especially on Pete Gardiner!

RPIRED, That reminds me that it is a bit surprising that we never hear from Pete's father Frank here. I think that he has been posting on the RPI alumni sports list since Pete's freshman year.

EHF,
Add Jared Reigstad of the Rockford IceHogs in the IHL.
Add Doug Shepherd of the Amarillo Rattlers in the CHL.
Also add them to your 98-99 list.
Add Kelly Askew of the Long Beach Icedogs in the WCHL.
Add Pat Brownlee of the Austin Ice Bats in the CHL.
Add Ryan Kummu of the Greensboro Generals in the ECHL.
Add Dan Lyons of the New Haven Knights in the UHL.
Add Maurice Mansi of the London Knights in the BISL.
Add Stephane Robatille of the Kassel Huskies in the DEL.
Add Patrick Rochon of the New Orleans Brass in the ECHL.
Add Mike Tamburro of the Jackson Bandits in the ECHL.
Source http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/alumni.php3?tid=232 and then click on the player to find out where he is now. There are probably others in Europe who haven't been updated in hockeydb by Ralph Slate, an RPI alum and an occasional poster on USCHO.

RPIRED, The Roanoke Express web site doesn't update very often and also does not give a lot of current information on their current player statistics.
What I can tell you is that as of 12/12/01 Gardiner had 7 goals, his last scored on the 12th via the power play.
Last year he had 34 points and 130 PIM in 58 games with Roanoke.
That is all of the info they provide. anybody have anything to add?

Mo Mansi is still playing? Last I heard from him he was in the Olympics on the Italian National Team that went winless, or he was coaching it or something.
I seem to recall that Stephane Robitaille had a fellow RPI alumnus with him in Kassel, Ron Pasco perhaps?

Whatever happened to Bruce Coles? I knew he was with the AHL's Philadelphia Phantoms (?) for a while but haven't heard much of him since. Anyone know? He was one of my favorite players of the late eighties.

That should be the UHL, not IHL.

According to the site which I quoted, Pasco was in Kassel in 1999-2000 and played in Mannheim last year. I don't know about this year.
