Wisconsin wins tonight as...uh, everyone predicted. Looks to me as though the Badgers are rollin', also matching most off season predictions. Zaugg is finding the net with regularity. I expected her to become a pretty big contributor and formidable weapon when I saw her play as a freshman. It was Maverick #14 (scoring, as has often been the case so far this season) getting the lone Maverick goal.

Looked like a quiet 40:00 minutes of hockey with Wisconsin winning 1-0...The final 7-1. Anybody go to the game? How well did it go over in Winona?

collegehockeystats.net says they drew 267 people.

St. Mary's arena capacity isn't listed on their D-III page (men's or women's) but their school enrollment is only 1200 so their arena may be a 2000 seat arena maybe? That seems like a good turnout to me for a wednesday night game with not that much notice.

Big contributor is an understatement, I think they list her at 6'1'' but I'm pretty sure they forgot a zero and she is really 6'11''

edit: forgot a one

It appears I'll be at the Gopher game today before heading over the Williams for the women's basketball game. What should I expect out of today's game? I gotta get there early to get my place in the press box....

BSU skated to a 2-2 tie with #7 Merchyhurst. BSU had a 2-1 lead late in the third and the Lakers scored with an extra skater and settled for a tie....

It was horrible to watch. EAG, abotu 26 seconds left or soo, and the BSU girls skated soo hard and deserved their second straight win against a ranked opponent. (That is saying somthing, when you've only beaten ranked opponents 2 times in school history, and this could've made it 2 in a row).

BSU skated well again on Saturday, but a few pipes and crossbars later, finished with a 4-2 loss. Great Weekend of hockey though to watch.
