UNH has its toughest tests to date this weekend as they host Brown Friday and travel to Provdence to face the Bears on Sunday. What can we expect from Brown? How do they look heading into this season. (is this the season opening weekend for them?)

RE: the one man pep band thing....

Cloud had previously suggested I find the Minnesota Rouser if I could make the D'mouth Tourney (I can't). I purchased a sheet music collection of college songs, that includes the Rouser, On Wisconsin, and Harvardiana.

What are people's thoughts on the last for the Brown game? Harvard is, as usual, highly ranked, so I'm thinking it might not be appropriate.

Looking forward to the weekend series. Can anyone tell me how Brown looks this season. Should be interesting for McGlaughlin (sp?) playing Brown in a UNH jersey. Should be a great motivator! Any predictions? UNH is 3-0 with 18 goals for and 3 against. Should be a good series.

No question this will be a tough opponent for UNH, however this is a very challenging start for Brown, with back/back games (well almost with a day in between),.....not a normal, non-league opponent scheduling situation with almost all Ivys,.....so if it's a great weekend with a sweep of the Wildcats, Digit's a scheduling genius,.....a split will still be a successful weekend, and losing 2, well, many will ask just what was the woman thinking when she agreed to the potential train wreck,.....it's not like it's a 2 game warm-up with a bottom third HE team,.....

And Brown hasn't exactly started well lately either... split with Niagara in 02-03, a loss to BC opening weekend in 03-04, and a loss to UNH last season. I'd pick a UNH sweep, esp. since the Wildcats seemed to firing on all cylinders. I don't think Niagara is really as awful as UNH made them look.

I'd also suggest "When the Saints go marching in" (Providence fight song).

I think UNH would have won in any event but I wonder if the lopsided scores in both games against Niagara had something to do with Niagara having only seven forwards and seven D in one game and eight forwards and six D in the other, according to the box scores.

Unfortunately, I won't be there, I'll be down at UMass with the men's team (hockey fri night/football sat night at UMass). I hope you have a great visit, and hopefully in the future, I'll see you! (though I MIGHT make it down to Providence on Sunday for the brown game, haven't decided yet)
safe travels!
