I'll be giving updates to keep the folks back home...

Let Lainie have some time to build her program before you get too concerned. Just think of all the "crow" that some people would have to eat if she does... Your daughter has the opportunity to help turn around and rebuild a hockey program that's currently down. This could be an opportunity of a life time for her..... :)

I agree...and remember the kids read the stuff we write and some of them may not be wise enough to ignore it yet.....D3 is about getting your education and still playing a competitive sport .....all she can do is skate her shift and work as hard as she can....I always told the teams I coached that we'll measure our success in March, not October...and the yardstick was how much better we were as a team and as individuals...records and scoreboards are just one metric....not the only one

Thank you both for your words. Any sport, little league, minors or pros, seem to be a different team the end of the season then when they started. She is learning about life at college too, not just hockey. Hockey is what got her even interested in going to college. That's all I wanted. I am very proud of her, regardless of how her team does.

Sorry for the delay I got roped into clock duty...

Finlandia defeated Buffalo State 3-2 in a very physical game. Shots Finlandia 34 Buffalo State 24. Both teams have improved over last year and may give teams some problems this year.

Lake Forest defeated Chatham 14-0 and out shot them 70-4. The new coach has put some new wrinkles in and they've really improved they're positioning over last year.

Tomorrow will be interesting and I should be able to provide you with more timely updates....

......"some new wrinkles"????? must be something, last season LFC couldn't get 70 shots and 14 goals if they were on the ice alone.

I know, I know, "It's their right to compete" and all that Title Nine crap but when will people realize that teams like Chatam do more harm to the game and probably to the girls themselves. Go find a place to play where the girls have a chance to be in the game and then they'll have the positive experience your looking for.

Lake Forest 5 Buffalo State 3 - Shots Lake Forest 40 Buffalo State 19...

End of 2nd - Finlandia 5 Chatham 0 -

Youth Games - U16 Little Caesars 3 U19 Capital Pride 0 - Tarverse City 3 Rochester 1...

Attendance for the event looks to be over 800 people and still counting.

The new coach at Lake Forest really has this team hopping and Finlandia looks much improved...

Buffalo State's offense has improved but still needs to gel...

Chatham is playing much better today and Chatham parents are saying their improving each game. It will be interesting to see how much they progress...
