It looks like a fun opening week of hockey...This is something I've participated over on the men's side in the CHA. It's a fun little game played all year and your record is updated all year. The person with the highest percentage at the end wins a stuffed monkey. I'm not sure about a prize here or not...The monkey travels from last year's winner and is awarded to the new winner. Just trying to get something fun started here.
Bemidji sweeps Wayne State
Minnesota beats UConn
Minnesota beats St. Lawrence
St. Cloud and The Ohio State split
UMD and Wisconsin split
Mercyhurst sweeps Minnesota State University, Mankato
North Dakota beats Manitoba

I call DQ !! :)
I just figure if Coach Miller can pull her team off the ice during an exhibition against a Canadian team and nothing comes of it, then they aren't real games and I shouldn't have to try to predict an outcome.

Each game will be worth a point, if called correctly, you get a point, if not you don't. No points awarded for ties, unless you called for a tie. If for some reason there's a tie and a shootout, the game will go down as a tie. You have until the puck drops for the game to call the game or make a change. Once the puck drops for that game, what you call it is final. If you're going to make a change, please don't edit your first post, add a new one. Does this sound fair to everybody? Any suggestions, comments or complaints about it?

We're not going to start this so early are we??????
Nah. In fact, I was going to predict a 'Dogs sweep, but I figure Bucky might be too good this year to get swept at home.

OOOPS...
I lost all faith in the Saints when Ricky Lee left, :D
and I learned long ago not to bet against the Gophers. :D :D
So that makes this MY upset.
You know I have only a passing knowledge of reality, anyway
And yet you do, my friend, and yet you do.

From tonight
Beavers and Warriors tied 1-1
Gophers beat UConn 3-0
tOSU beat SCSU 2-1
MSU,Mankato over Mercyhurst 2-0
So we just get Brookyone off of the suicide watch caused by the trauma of the SSP defection and the recent infatuation of some of the state's finest with a Beanpot-losing program, and then I see the MSU-M/Mercyhurst boxscore -- 2 goals for Maggie Fisher. It's a good thing Gigi put a smile on Gopher fan faces tonight, or Brooky would be right back out on the ledge. And it's cold out there tonight.

Duluth defeated Wisconsin 5-2
St. Lawrence defeated Minnesota 3-1
Ohio State defeated St. Cloud State 5-1

I guess when the #4 team in the nation beats the #1 team in the nation.. you can call it an upset?
From what I heard on the radio during the game it sounded like UMD really carried the game today.. when Tom Hansen wasn't watchin the Badger football game and giving that play by play.
Vowing not to shower until Bemidji State wins the NCAA Tourney...Who's with me!!!
Those of us at the DECC will supply you with 10 years worth of deodorant at the door.
