Any thoughts on the NAHA Tournament this weekend?

Walser from MN should have a couple very competitive teams I would imagine.

Teams to watch out for:
Summer Storm: They have a few players that will be heavily recruited this year and the next. Great Goaltending and a few players that can score. They will only have 2 lines as they are a summer team. Watch for Deluce , Selina and goalie Lisa Plenderleith.
NCCP: This appears to be a very good team , they are from the OTTAWA area and should be solid. Winter Club team.
Durham JR team: they have been down in Vermont all week for their training camp and should be ready for this event. Winter Club team. Watch for Wakefield.
Kanada Selects: this team has some players that Iam familar with and this makes then a team to contend with. Thet have what I believe to be the most recruited goalie on this year on their team. Her name is Keesler! Summer team.
Watch for: Bendus, Keesler, Eusepi.
There are also two Midget teams from Ontario.
Sudbury: This is a solid team with great goaltending.
Durham: I am not sure what Midget team this is, but I believe this is the team that is all Bantam aged players. They can skate well and are a solid team, but young.
Good luck to all the Ontario teams.

My daughter will be skating for one of the NAHA teams, and I expect a very high level of play throughout. Last years tourney was fun to watch, and I think this years' will be even better. Most colleges will be represented with their head coaches and/or asst's. This seems to be the last chance for colleges to get a look at players before making their decisions on recruits and offering "official visits" this fall. I know that the colleges that have been communicating with my daughter will all be there, and this is her chance to make a "final" impression on them before decisions start getting made.

I hear the Polar Bears will be up there. I happen to catch their game with the Polar Stars (mostly incoming freshman) at Stanstead and it was a great game to watch. I'm looking forward to see how much of a contender they will be this year and which players should be followed.

Dawson College from Montreal will be there. They have a number of strong players to watch out for. Catherine Ward on defence, Ann-Sophie Bettez, Karell Emard, Sara Dagenais, and Alyssa Cecere at forward, Audrey Doyon-Lessard in nets. They should be a good team. They will also be missing two of their top players: Stephanie Denino and Emmanuelle Blais.

Polar Bears leaders:
Hilary Knight, center, Choate jr, hard shot, lots of goals, fast, big and strong.
Alyssa Boehm, wing, Loomis jr, good size and speed, quick release.
Lauren Regan, center, Loomis jr, one of the few girls coming back from last season, quickness, but was frustrated scoring at Stanstead.
Jackie Snikeras, net, Taft jr, MVP of Chowder Cup, can go hot and cold, but when hot is very tough. Good postionisng more than anything else.
Sarah Appleton, D, Berkshire sr, good hands, quick release, speed. Can and will go end to end.
Jodi Yaworski, D, Choate pg, size, stick handling and an agressive contact spirit.

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Audrey Doyon-Lessard of Rapid Team Reebok the MVP of the Chowder CUp.

My daughter's Washington Pride team is playing @ NAHA; they were one of only three teams to beat Shattuck last season. They have lost some key players to college: notably Julia Bronson (Dartmouth), and Kristen Stupay (Yale), but are returning a bunch of seniors. Lindsay Berman, Megan Keever, Maxie Weisz (G), Kate Pokrass and Marjorie Billings are some of the leaders of the 2006 class. Emily Tiernan who was named captain will not be making the trip however due to illness. Amber Yung (2007) is a promising young d-woman.

There seems to be a lot of emphasis on individually named players here. I personally am looking forward to seeing some strong team play out of the teams. This tournament always gets the season going with a great start because of the opportunity to see both Canadian and US teams at the same time. Also to see the teams coming together for the first games of the new rosters. :D

I agree. I know for Dawson it will be their first games played together with their new team. They have a bunch of new recruits and it will be interesting to see how they play as a team. It is an excellent opportunity for some team building, to see how teams gel, and to showcase their talent. I too, am looking forward to seeing some good hockey.

My estimate would be in & around 6 teams would be just pick up teams with no experience together.
Does anyone know how to find the rosters for Tourney?

Not sure if rosters are linked or not.
Tis a stinkin' shame that gas is now $3 plus a gallon, thus rendering a sojurn to the north a moot idea. :(
I was really lookin' forward to taking in some good hockey to get me in the swing for the youth season which starts next week.

Is any one aware of a results page for this tourney as I couldn't find one on their web site?
Or could someone post scores if they receive them.
Thanks
