Aucoin made the Hurricane's training camp roster...but rumors among Carolina fans is that he'll get cut before Saturday's game. Looks like he'll be playing in Lowell again.

It's official -- Keith was cut from the Hurricanes, and sent to Lowell.

from 2004 grad class (sorry i know this thread is from 2005) just thought some fans might be interested to see how he is doing. oswego alum (http://www.columbiainferno.com/read.asp?ID=941)

Luki tore up the CHL last season, and if his production matches up in the ECHL he could very well find his way onto an AHL roster this year.

As for Tys getting a look in the C, let's hope he gets some playing time to prove his oats. Seems like he hasn't gotten any substantial playing time since Oswego, and he's a gamer in the pipes.

Any word on any of the '05 guys?

Dale Lupul and Kevin Cooper have been invited to Rochester Amerks training camp. (AHL)

Kurtis McClean suited up for the WBS Penguins in last night's pre season game vs the Hershey Bears. Kurtis had 2 assists and saw significant ice time. Although final NHL cuts have not been made, it appears that Kurtis has a very legitimate shot of sticking in the AHL. In speaking with him, he enjoyed every minute of camp in Pittsburgh.

It was announced today (10/6), that due to the damage caused by Hurricane Rita, Ford Arena will not be available. As a result, the 05-06 Wildcatter season has been cancelled....

I see a lot of references here to the CHL.

Fwiw, if anyone is ever in the mood, check out a book called "Zamboni Rodeo". Great read, and it's all about the CHL (or an earlier version of it). The author follows the Austin Ice Bats around for a season...nothing in it really surprised me but it's good human interest/nature stuff. Plus it's hockey, so hey...

Looks like Chris Tarr from Geneseo made the 18 man roster for Memphis of the CHL. Andy Rozak from Oswego was also on the training camp roster, but was waived. Best of luck to both.

I heard he was also trying out for the Hartford Wolfpack (AHL for the NY Rangers), but I couldn't find anything online about that.

Two Curry College graduates are playing pro in the ECHL and the CHL. Mike O'Sullivan is playing for the Fort Worth Brahmas, and Chet Ferreira is playing for the San Diego Gulls (where he played the last 3 games of the season for them while scoring 1 goal and 1 assist).

Excellent news for the Jackals. Their team will have a lot more fan support with Manner, Mackie and Konkle. Way to go guys :)
