I saw that on the 10 p.m. news last night. You are right, a nice story. I would guess that she is an aunt of future Gopher Gigi Marvin.

Good story, I was able to view part of the video. Really have to hand it to Ms. Marvin for her dedication to the kids and her many sacrifices on their behalf. Maybe, just maybe, through her efforts one day we'll see some new HS teams added...or the restoration of some HS teams, now defunct due to low numbers in that area...Como, Johnson, Harding etc.

Yes, she is Gigi's aunt. Gigi and my daughter who played for Edison and now D3 hockey out East and two other Augsburg college players also helped out with a couple sessions. Janet also brings the girls to watch Gigi when she plays. The high school team for those girls in a couple years will be the Minneapolis Nova's. In the wintertime they play for Edison Youth Hockey.

NO SHE IS NOT FROM THE MARVIN WINDOW FAMILY. HER DAD WAS CAL MARVIN THE BIG HOCKEY MAN UP IN WARROAD, MN. HOCKEYTOWN USA. SHE IS ONE OF 12 CHILDREN WHO IS STILL TAKING ON THE ROLL OF HELPING CHILDREN FIND A HOCKEY PLACE IN LIFE JUST LIKE HER DAD WOULD DO. SHE COMES FROM A GREAT FAMILY WITH A LOT OF PRIDE IN THE GAME OF HOCKEY.

SHE IS IN THE CAL MARVIN FAMILY NOT THE MARVIN WINDOW FAMILY. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE!!

Robin (Another Aunt of GiGi's I believe) too has done a TON for hockey and kids. Just wanted to add that!

ROBIN IS ALSO JANET MARVIN'S SISTER JUST THOUGHT I WOULD ADD THAT. SHE ALSO IS ONE THAT WORKS WITH JANET AND HER KIDS. GREAT FAMILY THESE MARVIN GIRLS COME FROM.
