Here is an email that I recieved:

I am writing to pass along to everyone some tragic news regarding the Wisconsin Wild's Justine Pellmann. On her way to school this morning, and just a few days before her graduation from Waukesha West High School, Justine was involved in an accident in which her car was struck by a pickup truck. Justine, who was scheduled to head for school and hockey at Elmira College this Fall, did not survive the accident. Our prayers go out to her family, teammates, coaches, friends and everyone who had the pleasure of meeting and knowing Justine.

This is terriable news and I am praying for the family, friends, and teammates of Justine. I never got the opportunity to skate with her, but I played against her,and this is such a tragic story to hear about.

Town of Waukesha - A Waukesha West High School student died Wednesday after the car she was driving crossed the center line of Oakdale Road and struck a pickup truck.

Witnesses said the northbound Toyota driven by Justine Pellmann, 18, drifted onto the shoulder near Glendale Road about 7:15 a.m., Waukesha sheriff's Detective Steve Pederson said.

Pellman may have overcorrected, causing the car to cross the center line and strike the southbound pickup. The other driver, Robert Ogrezovich, 48, of the Town of Waukesha, was treated at Waukesha Memorial Hospital and released.

Pellman played defense for the Wisconsin Wild U19 AAA hockey team and had committed to play hockey at Elmira College in Elmira, N.Y., Wild coach Cameron Cook said.

"She was very compassionate, always wanted to be the best, and one of the most competitive people that I have ever had the honor to coach," Cook said.

Justine Pellmann - 3/26/87 - 6/1/05

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am writing to pass along to everyone some tragic news regarding the Wisconsin Wild's Justine Pellmann. On her way to school yesterday morning, and just a few days before her graduation from Waukesha West High School, Justine was involved in an accident in which her car was struck by a pickup truck. Justine, who was scheduled to head for school and hockey at Elmira College this Fall, did not survive the accident.

A picture and brief bio about Justine is posted on the Wild's web site - see http://www.usahockey.com/wi_wild_u19aaa/main_site/main/justine_pellma/. Justine accomplished much in a few short years, and will be missed terribly by all who knew her.

Justine's funeral will be held this Saturday, June 4 at the Church and Chapel Funeral home at 380 Bluemound Road in Waukesha, WI. This is at the intersection of Hwy 164 (old Hwy J) and Bluemound Rd., near the Waukesha County Airport. Visitation will begin at 3:00 pm with a memorial service at 8:00 pm. Her parents have asked that any players attending wear their team's hockey jerseys if possible.

The Pellmanns have established a memorial scholarship fund in Justine's name to benefit seniors graduating from the Wisconsin Wild program and they ask that we make contributions to that fund in lieu of flowers. Contributions can be sent to:

Justine Pellmann Memorial Fund
c/o Waukesha State Bank
100 Bank Street
P.O. Box 648
Waukesha, WI 53187

If you wish to send a card to the family, their address is:

The Pellmann Family
S58 W2544 Crest Drive
Waukesha, WI 53186

Justine leaves behind her mom and dad (Lance and Christine) two sisters (Melissa and Emily) and two brothers (Eric and Kenny).

Thank you.
