The DivIII tournament continues tonight with Bowdoin at Plattsburgh. The history of meetings between these teams goes back several years. The teams met in 02/03 at neutral site Amherst. Bowdoin came away with a 3-2 victory. Last season it was all Plattsburgh, as Platty blanked Bowdoin early in the season with a convincing 5-0 win. In a first round NCAA game, similliar to this evenings matchup, Plattsburgh again came out on top in a defensive battle 2-1. Despite taking a disproportionate number of whistles earlier this year, Bowdoin was able to eek out a win by blanking the Cardinals 1-0 in Brunswick. This all sets the stage for tonights contest. Any thoughts or predictions out there?

The carrot has been dangled in front of the Lady Cardinals - a return engagement with Elmira if they take care of business tonight. It won't distract the Cardinals, it will be great motivation. They certainly couldn't possibly look past a team that defeated them earlier this season, but one last shot at Elmira is too good to pass up....Plattsburgh 3, Bowdoin 1.

Michelle Amidon wasn't at Bowdoin last year, and I think it showed when the chips were down.
She will have them better prepared this year.
Though the Polar Bears are much younger than Plattsburgh, I think the youth, rather than the experience, will rule. IMO, the game will be more offensive than in past years with more shots and a higher score. Further, I think freshman Kristen Cameron is due to make a difference in a big game; she has been a force late in a few games and enjoys it when the game has a good flow. She may well step up in this one.
Now if MacEachern just doesn't melt down...

I want to see Plattsburgh win...

But im going with the road less traveled and taking Bowdoin in this one. The Polar Bears have never missed a Frozen Four in Elmira and Plattsburgh has never made one. Im going with history repeating itself and the Polar Bears winning a close one.

will do so, of course...Saw the Mville women on the video feed last week against RPI...would like the ability for a larger screen, but other than that the quality was great!! Hats off to them!! Bowdoin has done it once, or twice, but the quality was not nearly as good.

Well, here's my pick for tonights games.. Considering Plattsburgh's record is 3 - 6 this year in 1 goal games and Bowdoin's record is 2 - 0 I'll go with Plattsburg winning by 2 goals or Bowdoin winning by 1.
