I believe every D1 program should offer live stats or gametracker for all their home games.
With the growing interest level in women's D1 hockey, this would certainly be appreciated by many of us fans.

I agree, I wonder why more don't do this?

I believe it is a matter of money.......The colleges have to pay to have their games broadcast or you have to pay to hear them. It all depends on the demand. The bigger schools can afford to broadcast more games than a smaller one. Sponsorship plays a big roll in these Broadcasts. You should let your College know how you feel! If enough fans do, then maybe things will change.

Its a tricky question because for the small programs, interest level and attendance are relatively low. Putting in the resources to have someone provide this service may not be particularly useful given how many people will use the service. Running this gametracker would fall onto the Sports Information Director at each school and with all the things they have to deal with, providing a gametracker could be very low on their list especially with little interest payed to the team.

Getting back to the point about increase interest in D-1 Women's Hockey, I agree that the sport has grown, I have witnessed this over the past few years. However, I would say that Womens Hockey has grown the most in the ECAC and WCHA, and each of those conferences have provided gametracker since it began a few weeks ago. I would say that with the exception of programs like a Mercyhurst, Providence or UNH, D1 Hockey isn't a big deal outside ECAC and WCHA though, so as an avid fan of this sport, I would even question the allocation of resources into Gametrackers for teams which have weak programs and don't draw fans, because obviously the resources could be better used recruiting or on other developmental aspects of the game.
