I'd pick the same All-WCHA as everyone else...
except I think I'd support Shannon Miller for coach of the year over all else.
What's the case for Barto or Johnson this season? I thought Johnson was a good choice last season. And Barto was a good choice, maybe in 2000-01, that was a good year for OSU.

Oops...perhaps I should eliminate one of those. Think I'll toss out Bonhomme on this one. When it comes to ballots..., at least I didn't write in Sponge Bob as I did for one of those myriad unopposed district court judge seats in the last election.

Best Team...Minnesota
Rookie of the year- Cami Wooster
MVP of the WCHA- Wendell
MVP of each team
Minnesota- Wendell
Wisconsin- Engstrom
UMD- Ouellette
Ohio St.- Bonhomme
UND- Cami/Cara Wooster (hon. mention- Gagnon-Laplante)....I know a lot of people get them confused but if you watch them closely they're styles can be quite different. Both players work extremely hard though and it's tough to pick one over the other, especially with Cami playing centre
SCSU- Clarkson/Oonincx
Mankato- Kehler
Bemidji- Eckebrecht

Krissy Wendell
Natalie Darwitz
Caroline Ouellette
Molly Engstrom

Last year the actual WCHA awards (MVP, ROY, Two All-League Teams, All-Rookie, Coach of the Year) were named Friday night the week of the tournament. I don't know if they might plan on doing it earlier this year because of the expanded tournament.

Last year the actual WCHA awards (MVP, ROY, Two All-League Teams, All-Rookie, Coach of the Year) were named Friday night the week of the tournament. I don't know if they might plan on doing it earlier this year because of the expanded tournament.
I think last years driving factor for having it on Friday night was that way all teams in the tournament would still be there. Following this logic they would move it to Thursday night. Can't say for sure if that's going to be they way it will work out.
I would think that they have to have the banquet either Wednesday night or during the day on Thursday or Friday. Last year, they had a 4 p.m. game on Friday, then no more games. This year, I believe they have 4 and 7 o'clock games each day.

What are some of your guys' reasons for picking some over others in these categories?
Rookie of year the year
MVP of the WCHA
Just looking for some more insight...
For ROTY, I figure the Woosters have produced without a great surrounding cast of talent. I could have gone with one of the goalies, but most of them were splitting time on their teams.
For MVP, Wendell is the player who makes the best team in the league go. When she was hurt against UMD, they were instantly a different team.

All great players, I take nothing away but am very perplexed how Jana Harrigan from OSU was not named to the second all star team. I guess performance does not not count
