I have a suggestion for a Women's Question of the week for an upcoming week...
Q - Why is the women's coverage on USCHO.com so much like the men's in that it's "if you're not at the Div. I level, you need not apply?"
Options:
1. It's a fledgling process here at USCHO.com and we're allocating resources where we feel they need to be, rather than where we think we can grow interest.
2. Div. III doesn't get us any monies from CSTV therefore we have no real desire to promote discussion about it.
3. Nobody cares about Div. III women's hockey.
4. What's Div. III women's hockey?
I think that would be a viable poll.

I don't think this is a unhealthy topic.
Lets stop debating D1 verse D3 womens college hockey. I went to the womens Bean Pot all D1 teams and knowone showed up. Lets get people interested in watching the girls play.
The answer to all these questions is the more topics you bring into play and the more people you involve the end result will be better for the future womens bean pot games and maybe they will have people in the stands.

Here's a question... Why does the USCHO do such a crappy (non-existant) job covering D3 women's hockey?

"USCHO" as it pertains to women's hockey is quarterbacked primarily by one person - Dave DeRemer. People here likely don't know just how much effort he puts into the page, recruiting arena reporters, tracking the newswires, covering games himself, etc. Not to mention his full-time day job. If some of the regular D3 posters would sign up to be arena reporters or more, I'm sure Dave would find the time to edit the recaps or help integrate you into the fold as he did with me when I brought the Game of the Week to him and the organization. I can understand the frustration given the passion for the sport displayed by the folks here, but hopefully you understand Dave is doing a ton and he could use help to better address D3.
That said, I do know USCHO has a little something in the pipeline for D3 fans. Not much, but maybe a baby first step. Stay tuned...

Kudos to you, Dave.
Every endeavor needs a champion to be successful.
I know it is an underappreciated position.
As for myself, and I would like to think from hundreds of others.....
Thank you.
You're doing a great job.

Dave:
I realize the Question concerns DI, but I was disappointed to see Bowdoin's Cat MacEachern named runner-up Defensive Player of the Week for DIII.
Visiting Williams and Middlebury she gave up only 3 goals on 67 shots (.955 saves %) of which 2 were on the powerplay to Midd. On the season she is 17-3-1 and has played 1263 minutes, giving up 1.28 gpg with a .930 saves %.
There are a lot of great DIII goalies, but I think she deserves some thought for All-American!!!
