I understand that there will be a coupon for 4 free tickets in the Strib this week sometime. Any Ideas when, or if someone sees it can they post what day?

Thanks.

Here's the promo info from gophersports. No info regarding exactly when the coupons will appear in the strib. I'll have to buy a Strib each day this week...at 50 cents, still a good deal. I'll have to head to a local rink for a copy of LPH too.

From the MN Daily. Talks about how the Gophers are now in first place in the WCHA and how at anytime any team in the WCHA can upset any other team.

I felt strangely compelled to add this while on the subject of pictures...in particular, good pictures. :)

What's the word on the Horak suspension? Is she going to be back for this weekend? What did she do/not do?

If someone can give a heads up when the coupon is in the Strib, it would be much appriciated. It might be worth making the trip.

It was a one game suspension for violation of team rules. What rule was not specified. Since it was only one game, it wasn't anything too severe. Jody was back as a team member in good standing on Sunday.

It looks like Thursday is the day. Here is a blurb from this week's Gopher notes:

"• Free Admission with Star Tribune Ad, Feb. 19 - Cut out the Star Tribune ad
in Thursday’s (Feb. 17) sports section and receive four free general
admission tickets (game played in Mariucci Arena)
"

Maverick fans, your 2005-06 first line will be playing right next door to Mariucci, quite possibly all weekend beginning Thursday night...heaven forbid they're playing at Mariucci immediately preceeding the Gopher / Maverick game...bonus weekend for MSU-M fans.

Is the coupon in the Strib today?

Can the Young, Nelson and Fischer skate for the Mavericks this weekend since they will be in the neighborhood?

Not a bad senior day for the seniors. A shutout for Rhino, goals for Stacy & Kelly and an assist for Noelle. Congrats to the Gophers on another WCHA regular season title. I thought the Mavericks were noticeably feistier in today's rematch. As I expected, strong goaltending from MSU all weekend. Noticed the Mavericks future...all three of them in attendance perhaps scouting future opponents & seemingly well recovered from the previous nights championship effort.

What a senior weekend. Both Horak and Rheinen register the shutouts, Stephens was at the least, amazing (as she always is) and I couldn't be much happier than I was to see that empty netter by Troumbly, set up on a great effort by Sutton. Truly heart warming. You will all be missed tremendously.

I felt as though it was a strong weekend for the gophers defensively especially. The shots allowed were fairly low, but more importantly were less than dangerous. I felt as though each line had a very dominant pressence every time they were on the ice, anyone who says the first line is all they have is terribly mistaken.

Next weekend should be interesting.
