I think lake forest showed that they were a little overrated toward the end of the year last year, i'm sure it was just a fluke. :P ;)

SNC, UWS, River and LFC are clearly the class of the conference. Point has to prove to me that they are ready to move back into the upper eschelon... which they may do. UWEC and CSS are complete afterthoughts, with Stout being the big ??? And yes, LFC was overrated last year, but they continue to move in the right direction. ;)
This poll is panning out pretty much like I anticipated. For some reason I'm always skeptical of UWRF, yet they always seem to have a solid season. This year, I'll go on record: UWSP back in the top 4 and UWRF in 5th.

With the current setup of the NCHA playoffs, Point doesn't have to finish in the top 4 to make it to the Frozen Four. (The question behind the poll right?) They seem to have the nack of winning in the quarters to make it to the frozen four. I think Point will still finish outside the top 4 this year, but win yet ANOTHER quarterfinal road series. (Only NCHA team to do that)

And they have done it twice. At Stout and Superior.
I think they'll take 4th and make the Frozen Four. What's a preseason without optimism, eh?
