All I want is this election to be decided outside that courts.

True dat.

But *my* point is that he isn't voting on the day of the count. He has already voted, validly, by the state's definition.
So in other words, it's your point versus THE point (i.e., the legal standard).

The vote counts the day it's cast, I would think, not the day it's counted. That's why they allow absentee ballots and voting before election day.

Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.
(that's me backing the thread up)

The question here is that absentee and early voting, in theory, don't become actual votes until November 2.

Well you're a real ray of sunshine yourself, Ms. Manners.

I was writing in response to your definition of The Point. The Point to me should be the vote counts the day it was cast. As for the media, it's a gray area. I'm giving my opinion on how to clear that gray area up.

Sounds more like a statement on estimated fact rather than an opinion to me.

I feel like that is generally the standard. If it's not, it should be IMO.

Of course that brings up the thought, why say it if you didn't mean it?

Sometimes people exaggerate things, especially when annoyed by the comments of others.

Since my opinion is gold as you say, why not appologize? Just a thought. ;)

edit: That would be to RPIRED and not me.

Don't feel a need to for an obviously sarcastic comment in response to his dig at me.
