Depends how much the extras are worth.

I'll get very little in terms of my paychecks, but then I also get free on-campus housing with utilities and something like 5 meals per week. So those perks probably come close to doubling my monthly salary when it's all said and done.

i'm making 8.75 an hour this summer, pretty low for all the stuff i do for this company compared to what the people who make 60K+ are doing

Quantity of work does not dictate the value of the work. And I've also found that most people really don't comprehend what it is their co-workers do; you understand the general job description, but the details are where it's truly at.

Where it's at!
I got two turntables and a microphone!

So I think this poll accurately reflects the average salary in the US, somewhere in the $40K-ish range

In my 30th year with the University of Wisconsin, solely responsible for administering a $13m annual payroll, and I just, just, cracked the $40K mark. I should just have "LOSER" branded on my forehead and be done with it.

For the 5th consecutive year, I am borrowing more than I make. :(

Are you a student? If you are not, when did you graduate? You don't happen to have a $100-a-day-habit, do you? j/k :D

whoever is making 100K+... can I get .01% of that from you? ;)
