Just a fun thread for a diversion.

Who would like to contribute to a list of great hockey music that does NOT include Gun N Roses or Black Sabbath? I am looking for pump up music that is not often heard in rinks or on tapes.

Please add whatever you want to.

Limp Bizkit-Break Stuff
The classic that we had for hockey arena departure was Metallica-One. The whole song does not need to be listened to, but one must listen through to the guitar solo in the middle.

I'm a fan of "Machinehead" by Bush right as the opening faceoff is about to be dropped. The first thirty seconds of that song set the mood

I take back what I said about Soul Decision now. :):p

I burn cds for friends of mine every September, and through five years of it I've gotten away with keeping Jock Jams garbage off the list. Thinking about what to put on this year, some ideas...

-Caesars, 'Jerk It Out'
-Tragically Hip, 'Fireworks'
-311, 'How Do You Feel?'
-Course of Nature, 'Wall of Shame'
-Oasis, 'Live Forever'
-Zebrahead, 'Get Back'
-Beastie Boys, 'Sure Shot'
-Stone Roses, 'Breaking Into Heaven'
-Stereophonics, 'Madame Helga'
-Soundtrack of Our Lives, 'Sister Surround'
-Jurassic 5, 'A Day at the Races'

LIst the ones you don't know and I'll explain.

For example: Melanie C is the Spice Girl formerly known as Sporty Spice. Not that I'm a Spice Girls fan in the least, but this was a great song, was featured in a climactic scene in Bend It Like Beckham.

BC used some Linkin Park and Bush last year which was solid to get pumped up too. Although, I have to say my all-time favorite hockey song has to be the Brass Bonanza for the good ol' Hartford Whalers. (RIP) :D

I dunno, maybe it's before my time, the band name sorta sounds familiar, maybe if I heard one of their songs I'd know them

well kernkraft 400's "zombie nation" is also known as the bruins goal song (or it was a year or two ago).

darude's "sandstorm" is a techno song ... i don't know where you'd be familiar with it though.
