Any Columbus Natives want to give us out-of-towners their top 4 or 5 hotels for 2005 Frozen Four? From what I can tell via the internet, there appears to be a Hyatt within walking distance.

absolutely not.....Hyatts are downtown hotels....hockey is on campus and not Nationwide Arena (Blue Jackets). If you want walking distance to arena....Holiday Inn on Lane Avenue, The Blackwell, Red Roof.....but parking is not a problem, so I would encourage downtown near arena district for a little night life.....Hyatt Regency, Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza, The Lofts, Red Roof are all close to this area... I think there is a Hampton Inn on High St. also.

I'm not a 'native', but I spent 5 years there (-: Nothing within walking distance has rooms last I checked and if that will change (which I doubt) you'd have to check as teams get eliminated from Regionals. I have a post in Cafe in the "Posters Game 2005: Early Poll" thread. If I don't get any response in the next day or two, I'll post the 'secret cheap' location here also (-:

Try the Fairfield Inn Columbus North. Check the Marriott site; it wasn't on the others. $56.05 with AAA discount.

Cheers! (-:

Talk about scalping.........Holiday Inn on Lane Ave. wants $179.00 per night.

WorldTek travel doesn't offer FF packages anymore. One of our group arranged with the Red Roof Inn on Ackerman Road for a block of rooms. I've had my reservations since April 21 at $74/night. The Hotel is about 2 blocks from the arena.
