The top 6 will be revealed each Tuesday for the next 6 weeks.
Here's your chance to vote on which cities should be included in the final 6
Four Super Bowls in a row, and Brett Hull's skate.
The Browns left, the Indians haven't won since, what, the 1950s, and they don't even HAVE hockey.
Bona fide superstars in every major sport, but nothing to show for it since the early 1980s.
A hockey team that left, a baseball team that was threatened with contraction, and a 41-0 drubbing in the football team's best recent year.
Two baseball teams with a combined futility streak of over 180 years, the worst owner in the NHL, and MJ and Ditka are long gone.
Buffalo, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Minneapolis, Chicago.
The sixth one? Eh. Sorry, Boston, you've won two Super Bowls in the last three years and you've got competitive teams in all four sports. I'd like to write in Detroit.

My two cents
Baltimore: they had a good run in the Unitas/Robinson era but lost the Colts and the Bullets(not a major loss)
Boston: The Celtics save them from this
Buffalo: 0-6 in championship matches lost a basketball team but they became the Clippers
Charlotte: Not been around long enough for this
Chicago: Michael Jordan saves them from this
Cleveland: When your last championship came from Jim Brown, you're automatically a contender
Dallas: Cowboys save them from this
Los Angeles: Lakers?
Minneapolis: Worth consideration, yes they won two dramatic WS titles but spend a decade in the cellar, lost a basketball to LA, Wolves maintain rep. until they win something. Vikings are 0-4 and haven't been to the Super Bowl and lost the North Stars.
New Orleans: It took the Saints 20 years to get a winning season, only one playoff win, lost the Jazz, not enough chokes to be the most cursed.
Philadelphia: Also worth consideration. Phillies take 100 years to win WS, lose the A's. 76ers were good in the Dr.J era, Eagles haven't won much and the Flyers have choked a lot. But Philly, did something even NY couldn't do. A philly team made the WS,SB,Stanley Cup and NBA finals within a year.
Three Write-Ins
Cincinnati: Other than the Big Red Machine, the Reds have been at best disastrous with a former owner that made Steinbrenner look humanitarian and the Bungles. Lost a team to Omaha?!>
Washington: Joe Gibbs may save this but they lost basebal twice, even Jordan couldn't make the Wizards any good and the Captials even when they were good were chokers.
Detroit: if the Wings didn't win three cups in the last decade....
Out of the List, I'd say Buffalo

Those two Super Bowls don't hurt.
New York: The Yankees save them from this.
The Rangers, Knicks, Nets, Mets, Jets, Isles... that's the definition of frustration?

No contest it's Cleveland. The Browns, Cavs, and Indians. Not exactly winning championships. Has any of them ever won a title? No including the "Major League" titles won by Rodger Dorn and Willie Mays Hays. :D

Buffalo is hands down the worst tortured city, they have never won a major championship! ever!!

No offense to Cleveland and Buffalo, but if you're going to be a tortured sports city, you first have to qualify for "City" status. Your towns are weak, thanks for playing though.
Minneapolis could win every championship in the major sports for the next decade and we'd still be the most tortured city ever. Why you ask? They took hockey from the State of Hockey and took it to Texas for the love of God. Sure we have a team again, but it's not the same. I love the Wild, but man do I miss the North Stars.
Cleveland has 100,000 more people than Minneapolis. :p

Pshaw. Facts have no place in a sports discussion.

OH NO, TWO last minute Super Bowl victories, how frustrating!!!
Glad to see you're still enjoying that 4 year run from two decades ago amidst the sea of futility that is the Islanders, though.
Patriots 2 Super Bowls / 4 AFC Championships
Giants 2 Super Bowls / 3 NFC Championships
Jets 1 Super Bowl / 1 AFC Championship
Bruins 5 Stanley Cups / 17 Conference Championships
Rangers 4 Stanley Cups / 9 Conference Championships
Islanders 4 Stanley Cups / 5 Conference Championships
Celtics 16 NBA Championships / 19 Conference Championships
Knicks 2 NBA Championships / 8 Conference Championships
Nets 0 NBA Championships / 2 Conference Championships
Yankees 26 World Series / 39 AL
Red Sox 5 World Series / 9 AL
Mets 2 World Series / 4 NL

you're right we should just forget about history. Knowing the track record of your teams, I'd forget a lot of things too.

Track record?
You mean like Boston teams being more successful than NY teams in 3 out of the 4 major sports?

Last I checked there are more NFL Championships coming out of New York than Boston.
As I figured, a typical fairweather "whichever of *our* teams is winning" New York fan.
Why is that NY fans always claim to be loyal to JUST the Giants/Yankees/Rangers when one of those teams is winning, but suddenly become fans of NY in general if the Jets/Mets/Isles ever get it together? ***!
Boston has the best single team in 3 of the 4 major sports.
Since true fans have "a" favorite team....oh, sorry, we're talking about NY fans not true fans.

But to be honest, I like which ever one won tonight da best." Boston sports fans have a concept of NY sports fans that's so far off it's funny.

It's as reasonable an assertion as claiming that Mets and Yankees fans love to see the other team do well.
AGAIN, my point exactly.
CAH claims that NY - hockey/football - fans are less frustrated than those in Boston because the Rangers/Isles or Jets/Giants have COMBINED for more titles than the Bruins or Patriots. My point is that if you're a Rangers fan you would get no joy out of an Isles win, and so forth.
So his point about two teams combining for more titles in one sport is worthless because you can only be a *true fan* of one of them. And my point about Boston having the more successful team in 3 of the 4 sports is correct.
*true fan, my apologies, foreign concept to New Yorkers, just think "team I like best when I read the scores in the paper each day".
