I'd love to know what game McDonough and Norton are watching that they thought that goal should have been disallowed. Neither one of these vegetables should ever be handed a microphone by anyone.
I can see that play being ruled out for an inadvertent whistle, but:
a) when the puck is in the crease first, you can't be called for "in the crease"
b) there was no high stick
c) Berkhoel never controlled the puck to force the whistle
d) Brosz made no attempt to play the puck
That should have counted in my mind, but the Pi's have earned this win.

I was cheering for UMD, but a great comeback by DU...
Good luck Pioneers in the title game - keep the title in the WCHA!

Not to mention the early whistle no-goal in the Michigan-Minnesota semi.

Hache immediately said no goal, video replay ref concurred.
I hate it when stuff like that happens. Sounds like the goalie was interfered with, but if the guy was pushed or hooked into him by his own teammate I say give 'em the goal!

What a crying shame that a great game ends with a controversial no-goal. :(
Congrats to the Pioneers and I'll be rooting for you on saturday.
And thanks UMD for a truly fun, exciting year! I'm sure there's more where that came from. And hopefully we'll have a little something to celebrate about tomorrow.
Still though, a very disappointing ending to the game.
